Teaching Experience:
During my long service in the Pharma industry (~30 years), I have run many short courses and workshops. During 2005/6, I mentored a pupil (Year 10/11) at St. Peter's High School, Longsight, organised by the University of Manchester. The tutor is the expert in subject knowledge and learning but it is the tutee who has the paramount role in their own education and excelling in their subjects. I firmly believe that the role of a tutor is that of a catalyst and the child's role in their own learning is of greater importance. Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is student-centred, supportive, and results-driven. I believe every learner is unique, so I tailor each lesson to suit individual goals, learning styles, and confidence levels. Whether a student is looking to build foundational understanding or aiming for top grades, I create a structured yet flexible plan to help them progress at the right pace.

Personal Description:
A chemistry graduate with experience as a Teacher, Examiner and Head of Department. Teaching online Science kS3, Combined or separate sciences GCSE, Chemistry GCSE, Chemistry A level. I love teaching as much as I love the subject, so I feel privileged to help students reach their full potential.
I also now offer group lessons where lessons are charged at £20 with a maximum of 4 students

Having worked with a range of pupils, I can offer support to build confidence, motivation, skills and techniques. The goal is to listen to the student and respond to their individual needs

I can help to raise confidence by adapting to individual needs and share techniques to improve knowledge, understanding and exam technique. Working as an e examiner has helped me to pass on those all important tips to students once they fully grasp the content

I have worked full time at a secondary school in London since 2012 and also a private tutor. I lead seminars and focus groups for sixth form students covering and providing extra support in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I also offer private tuition sessions covering all Science subjects and Maths.

I am passionate about teaching and find my job role extremely rewarding.

Then, I plan and structure each lesson to make the best use of our time.The lesson follows a clear structure:Topic Exploration: We'll thoroughly go over the subject until you feel confident.Guided Practice: I'll give you practice questions tailored to your exam board and help you through them.Independent Practice: You'll then try some questions on your own.Homework: I'll provide questions to work on at home, along with a mark scheme.Review: In our next session, we'll go over any homework questions you found tricky or need more practice with.
