I get a lot of satisfaction from helping people to understand something they thought was beyond them. Explaining a difficult concept to someone else can often be the best way to make yourself remember it. During the first session I present a short questionnaire that I ask the student to fill in (honestly!) in order for me to assess their individual learning styles (right brain vs. left brain, use of visual stimuli etc), so that I can respond best to their needs.
