Personal Description:
I have a passion for the English language and its literature which is reflected in my work. I really enjoy tutoring, because I know the one-to-one learning situation gives students the attention and focus which they need to improve, and which they cannot get in school. I am a parent, a published poet and occasional actor. PLEASE NOTE: Idonot do trial lessons. Please trust my knowledge and experience.
Teaching Experience:
I have 30 years' experience of teaching English to kids of varying backgrounds and abilities (11 to 18 up to A level) so I have built up an extensive bank of resources over the years, which I use to carefully prepare for lessons. I am also an experienced examiner for AQA, which offers valuable insights into exactly how to achieve high GCSE grades .I recently received the JCQ certificate for services to examing. I have been tutoring successfully for seven years now, and my knowledge and expertise would be very useful to students aiming at high marks in GCSE and A level exams. Recently, I have helped a pupil win a scholarship to high-achieving independent QEGS in Wakefield, and others to gain entrance to grammar schools
Tutoring Approach:
I am patient, friendly and easy to get on with. I have always tried to make my lessons interesting, relevant and inter-active. I tailor my teaching to the pupil and know that praise and encouragement are the keys to confidence and progress. A good sense of humour is vital, too.
I have helped to improve the grades of many pupils, some of whom have achieved the highest grade at GCSE, and have coached younger ones through entrance exams to sought-after schools. One student, whom I tutored for three years, progressed from a poor level 4 in year 8 to GCSE grade B, the minimum requirement for A levels in many good schools, while others have achieved the A* grades required for their chosen paths.
I have achieved high ratings from the parents of students I have tutored. A good tutor can make a difference with focused one-to-one attention, and I am a good, committed tutor..NB I offer discounts for online tuition.

Personal Description:
I am a mechanical engineer with MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development from University of Cambridge.
Teaching Experience:
I was involved in conducting the training camp for the selection of the team that represented Pakistan in the 36th International Physics Olympiad, held in Spain. I was involved in conducting exams, practicals, marking, teaching as well as coordinating tutorials sessions with professors.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to take a practical approach to teaching. I want to give an intuitive feel to the students to help him grasp complex concepts. I do this by giving everyday examples to highlight the subjects under study. I want to
make science fun, cool and intuitive for students and remove the myth and misconceived perception that it is difficult and boring. If the teaching approach is correct, there is no reason why students will not be thrilled by laws and mechanisms of universe.

Personal Description:
Hello, my name is Virginia; I am an Argentinean/ Spanish actress and tutor.
I came to the UK to do an MA at RADA in Writing and Directing for theatre. During the MA at RADA I wrote a one-woman show call "My Shrimp and I" that was premiered at the Lion and Unicorn during the Camden Fringe in August 2016.
I have also done private tutoring of drama and writing as well as acting and movement workshops.
I am very responsible and highly committed to excellence; I also have many resources to make a class interesting, dynamic and fun
• Degree: BA First Class Honours in Acting at National School of Dramatic Arts - Mexico (ENAT-INBA).
• Skills: Strong communication, organisation, creativity and adaptability.

• English and Drama teacher at Primay School in Mexico City 2009-2011
Tutoring Approach:
I deeply believe that the best way to learn any subject is by enjoying it so I will find ways to make the lessons attractive, fun and dynamic, tailoring each class to the needs of the student.
As a Spanish tutor I can help students learn the language by engaging with the culture as well, in this way they can relate the words and the structure of the language in a more dynamic way.
I believe that as a Drama tutor I can help actors find and develop their skills as actors. I am a very passionate, disciplined and committed tutor willing to learn from the students as much as they can learn from me.

Personal Description:
I was brought up in Cardiff and my claim to fame is attending the same school as Gareth Bale and Sam Warburton. I'm a Christian, married to Jifelane - the most wonderful woman in the world. She's from Mindanao in the Philippines and we met online! I'm a proud dad to two beautiful children, Isaac and Hannah. I'm much travelled, play guitar, write songs and enjoy carp fishing especially on a warm Spring or Summer day. I am also an author! I published my first book 'Moondust' in 2015 and have recently self published another two, available in the Blurb Bookstore.
As a person I am patient, reflective and believe strongly in integrity. I am compassionate and enjoy seeing the funny side of life - I attempt to bring these qualities to my work. I am a dedicated, adaptable and friendly practitioner who loves to bring out the best in children and others. I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference. I saw that children were the hope for today and for the future and that schools were vital training grounds for life. Now as an experienced practitioner, I still have an infectious enthusiasm and passion to see children learn and reach their full potential.
Teaching Experience:
My professional experience is rooted in the breadth and depth of a teaching adventure which spans over twenty five years. Teaching mostly across Key Stage 2 (but also including KS1), it is entwined with close collaboration with colleagues from Reception through to Y6. I am keenly aware of the learning journey through the Primary School. Most of my teaching career has been in England and I have taught in a diverse range of schools. I am familiar with and use a range of teaching and learning strategies and believe that getting to know the child, coupled with quality assessment is the best way to help move them forward.
In recent years, I have been an integral part of two highly successful schools. My last school received an exceptional report from the most recent ISI inspection at the end of 2014. I quote:
'Staff are highly successful in shaping the educational programmes around the children's' interests and needs, providing a range of highly stimulating learning opportunities across all subjects through a creative curriculum that frequently takes learning outside.'
Tutoring Approach:
I endeavour to use a range of communication strategies which include listening, observing, questioning, explaining, modelling, storytelling and coaching. I have high expectations of myself as a tutor and high hopes and expectations of the learners in my care. I believe that effective teaching and learning comes from a being a reflective and critical practitioner, so whilst I will use tried and tested approaches initially, I will then adapt to suit the learning needs of the tutee. Assessment for learning methods such as strategic questioning, using success criteria and regular quality feedback are embedded into my teaching and learning ethos. As much as possible, I endeavour to make learning fun, stimulating and child centred, sensitive to individual needs. Developing close but respectful relationships with the students lays the foundation for being secure enough to take risks and improve their learning.

Personal Description:
I have worked as a full-time self-employed mathematics tutor since 2012 providing one-to-one home tuition for hundreds of students of GCSE and IGCSE Mathematics, A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, Sixth Term Examination Papers (STEP), and Mathematics Admissions Tests (MAT). I also provide help and support for adult and return-learners of mathematics.
I am very passionate about mathematics; I continue to develop my own knowledge and understanding of the subject so that I can be the best tutor that I can be for every one of the students that I tutor. I am particularly interested in the history and philosophy of mathematics as well as language learning and linguistics. I aim to pass on my enthusiasm for mathematics to those that I provide tuition for and to help all of my students achieve their true potential.
Teaching Experience:
I have thousands of hours of experience providing tuition for hundreds of students of mathematics and further mathematics for GCSE (including IGCSE), A-Level and Undergraduate Level. I have first-hand experience of providing tuition for Sixth Term Examination Papers (STEP), Advanced Extension Award in Mathematics (AEA) and Mathematics Admissions Tests (MAT). I have experience with tutoring for various exam boards including Edexcel, AQA, OCR and MEI.

Tutoring Approach:
I am very flexible with my approach and pay close attention to the specific needs of each of the students with whom I work. I am able to explain concepts in detail, going beyond the strict requirements of the syllabus or specification where this is required and appropriate.

Personal Description:
Hi, I'm Marya! I'm passionate about teaching English and Math and have been tutoring children for the past three years. I love helping students understand tricky concepts, build confidence, and achieve their goals. I believe learning should be engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student's needs. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy kickboxing, swimming, reading and cooking, which helps me bring energy and creativity into my lessons. I'm excited to help you reach your full potential and make learning a fun, rewarding experience!
Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring children in English and Maths for the past three years, and it's something I genuinely love. Over this time, I've helped students of different ages and abilities improve their understanding, build confidence, and achieve their goals. I focus on creating lessons that are engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student's needs. Seeing my students succeed has been incredibly rewarding, and I'm committed to helping every student reach their full potential
Tutoring Approach:
My lessons are interactive, supportive, and completely tailored to each student. I start by understanding your current level and goals then design a plan that fits you. For English, lessons usually combine reading, writing, and speaking practice, with a focus on building confidence and fluency. I also include exam techniques, past paper practice, and creative exercises to keep learning fun and effective. Whereas for maths my lessons combine practice with past papers, targeted revision techniques, and personalised feedback to strengthen weak areas. I aim to give students both the skills and confidence they need to achieve top grades in both subjects.
I adapt the pace and content to suit your needs. I believe learning should feel motivating, not overwhelming, so I make sure every session is engaging and encouraging
