Many of my students have gone on to study Medicine, Dentistry or other subjects at top universities in this country and abroad. Before becoming a tutor I had almost 18 years experience of teaching chemistry and biochemistry at university level.

I currently work for Derbyshire County Council as an 'out of school' tutor in the core subjects and also as a private maths tutor. During 2012/13 I worked at Levenshulme High school, an 11-16 girls school in Manchester, where I taught maths. Prior to this I worked at Burnage Media Arts College as a maths teacher and Astley Sports College as a maths teacher with extra responsibilities as the ICT coordinator and the gifted and talented coordinator for the whole school. From completing my degree to pursuing a career in teaching I raced as a semi-professional on the Great Britain National Cycling Squad. I have represented Great Britain at several World Championship events and also the 1998 Commonwealth Games. My name is Marese, I'm a CELTA qualified English Language Teacher and I live in Glasgow, Scotland. I'm a friendly and outgoing person who loves meeting people from different cultures and from around the world. I love music, photography, architecture, art, cinema, hiking and cycling. I've worked in Germany, England, Ireland and more recently studied and taught English in Korea and Thailand. I obtained my degree in physics and doctorate in theoretical physics from the University of Nottingham. I then spent ten years working as a physicist in various universities in Italy, New Zealand and the UK. My specialty was low temperature physics. I am fascinated by science and try to pass on my enthusiasm.

One of my responsibilities as a postdoctoral researcher was to mentor physics students. I am used to explaining difficult concepts and techniques in a clear, simple and concise way. I also work as an outdoors instructor, teaching climbing, kayaking and biking. Most of my outdoors work is with children, often those who have behavioural problems and are at risk of being excluded from school.

Hello,

Based on my volunteering experience I can introduce my self as an arts and craft tutor. The materials I use in my art sessions varies from normal stationery, paper, air dry clay and fabric and the projects I have done with my students are Abstract art, paper and fabric collage, air dry clay sculpturing and lots of other miscellaneous, random recycled stuff.

I have volunteered as an art tutor for Mental well-being charity organisation. I learned to understand the problems faced by people experiencing mental health difficulties and how art based activities could help and support them in improving their conditions. With this experience now I am able to design and draft lesson plans for art based activities and workshops. I also have experience working with young people at a Primary School.

Armley Park Primary School where I secured a lunch time assistant job. Here I earned the most valuable bit for my community experience working with children. My work at school was nothing to do with studied or lesson my involvement with children was when it was play time and lunch time. I could estimate a child's potential and allotted them some games. The best part was we could create any silly game and customised our own rules. In the dinning hall I helped the tiny new comers settle down and eat their lunch.

In the 2017 A-Level series I scored first in Northern Ireland for Religious Studies and second in Northern Ireland for Government & Politics. I can teach you the same study and exam techniques that enabled me to score highly in the CCEA GCSE and A-Level exams.

I have a Bachelor of Theology degree from Queen's University Belfast and a Master of Theology degree from the University of Aberdeen.
