I am native Spanish speaker and I qualified as a Spanish Language Teacher in September 1986 and began my professional career working for a school in Spain. During that years I became increasingly experienced dealing with students of all ages and levels. I was teaching there for eight years, in 1998 I decided to move in London and here I qualified as a Foreign Language Teacher and started teaching from 2000, working with kids, young and adults for corporations and individuals.
Also, I have experienced with students with special needs, autistic Spectrum and dyslexia.

I tailor my tuition to the needs of the student. I will tutor online, in the student's home, on their place of work or any convenient place. I will vary my style depending on the ability and needs of the student. I aim to run my tuition in support of the progression of my students through their subject syllabus, but I am also willing to progress more slowly and focus on particularly weak areas if the student so desires.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is that I tailor my tuition to the needs of the student. I will tutor in the student's home or on their place of work. I will vary my style depending on the ability and needs of the student. I 've been teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) for the past 6 years, both as a Homestay Host and one-to-one lessons for individuals needing additional help in understanding the English that we speak I incorporate cultural awareness in my lessons and particularly enjoy helping with pronunciation and intonation. Tutoring Approach:
One-to-One tutoring gives a real insight into both the English language that we speak and English culture. It is tailored specifically to the individual needs of the student rather than follow any particular textbook. We are free to concentrate on those areas where you may need the most help. Being able to spend time on pronunciation, stress and intonation are areas where one-to-one teaching really comes into its own as well as learning about the English that is actually spoken. Learning/perfecting a new language does not need to be a painful process. A professional, friendly approach in comfortable surroundings is what one-to-one teaching is all about!

I studied Economics at Cambridge University and then went on to play rugby to an International level and also coach at the same level. I am now married with 2 children and love helping people achieve their potential.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught A-Level Economics for the last 2 years at a non-selective private school. Last year, 1/4 of my students achieved 100 UMS at A2 and 1/3 achieved an A*. One student had achieved a D at AS and finished with an A* with a UMS average of 95. Prior to this, I played and coached sport at an International Level so have a real understanding of learning and how to help people improve, often starting with behavioural change and combining this with activities to maximise the students' learning. I also tutored several students last year including a mature student, all achieved the grades they required.

I use nudges to change behaviours in my students on an individual basis. We need to get to the stage where the student is comfortable teaching the subject matter to me and the whole course is connected rather than studied in isolation. Hello, I'm Alexander, I'm 23 and I'm from Essex. I'm currently pursuing my PhD in Organic Chemistry at University College London. I graduated from the Univesity of Leicester with a masters degree in Chemistry (With A Year Abroad) in July 2018.
