Personal Description:
I have a degree in Physics from the University of Nottingham and have taught Science in schools for over 8 years. I have a wide variety of teaching experience, from teaching English as a foreign language to a small group of 6 year olds, to teaching A level Physics in college. I love teaching and especially enjoy seeing students progress, become more confident and gain a real interest and love of the subject.

I gained a PGCE in Secondary Science from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2009 and worked as a supply teacher in a number of secondary schools in the Cheshire area before becoming a full time tutor.

I am a 33 year old ICT teacher and I am in my 12th year of ICT/Computing and Business teaching. I have taught in both schools and college, and teach a range of qualifications including OCR Technicals, HNC, BTEC Nationals, GCSE's, OCR Nationals, OCR GCSE and OCR iMedia. I have also taught a higher level foundation degree programme. I am easy to get along with and put a lot of my success down to forging a positive relationship with each student. I have studied and taught a variety of Business and Geography modules as well and have confidence in teaching this to degree level. In recent months I have written my first textbook for a BTEC GCSE qualification along with writing specifications for OCR qualifications. I am a very well qualified and very experienced teacher of both German and English as a Foreign Language. I have a Master's of Education, a BA (Hons) in German, a PGCE and an RSA Diploma in TEFL. Having lived and worked in Germany for over seven years, I also have near-native competence in German.

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching German and EFL for more than 30 years from beginners to advanced level. I used to teach German to GCSE and A level at what used to be Plymouth College of Further Education as well as EFL from Cambridge KET to Cambridge Proficiency. In addition to that I have prepared many students for the IELTS exam and I have taught Business English and English for Academic Purposes too. I believe that it is essential to establish the needs of each individual student so that a tailor-made course can be designed for that particular student. That does not mean that my approach is inflexible, however - if one approach to teaching does not suit the individual learning needs of the student, I will endeavour to teach the student in a way that they are happy with and which will lead to the best possible results.
As a teacher of foreign languages I very much favour the communicative approach but I am also more than willing to teach grammar as this also plays an important role in language learning. As languages are meant for speaking I place a great deal of importance on oral work - particularly at GCSE and A level - but once again, the needs of each individual learner are paramount. For oral conversation, I am happy to teach using SKYPE.

I am an extremely well qualified and experienced teacher of modern languages. I worked in many schools in the UK and for the most part as head of MFL. I also worked in China and Germany teaching English. Since retiring from full time teaching I have been teaching private lessons. I have extensive knowledge of the GCSE and A level courses and I have been very successful with my students. On average their grades have improved by at least two from their mock exams.

Teaching Experience:
I started teaching after leaving university when I went to China and worked for a United Nations Development Project. I then worked for a private language school in Germany. I became a qualified teacher and worked in several schools in Essex. I quickly worked my way up the ranks and became Head of Modern Languages. My last full time position was as Head of MFL at Medina College on the Isle of Wight. Since then I have been successfully teaching private lessons to students aged 5 to adults.

I use a variety of techniques adapted to my student's needs. I like to make my lessons fun and interactive. I follow the syllabus closely in the case of exam students and make sure that students are confident in all four skills. I elicit information from the students rather than just teach them how something works. By using this method students are more likely to retain the knowledge. Hello, I am a UK qualified teacher and have had a very interesting career in the UK and overseas. I lived in Australia for 2 years where I gained an MBA. I worked in the Middle East for 5 years. For the past few years, I have been an on-line tutor for a Paris school, a Budapest school and many private A level, IB and undergraduate students.

At our first meeting, I will assess your strengths and weaknesses so that I can draw up an individual learning plan for you. The first 15 minutes are free.

I find that most students are capable of learning the content of the GCSE or A level syllabus, can remember the main concepts, but struggle to write a coherent A grade essay. If this is your weakness, then I will focus on developing your essay writing skills and I have lots of resources which I use to do this.
I understand that some of the economics and business concepts can be quite complex and some of the diagrams challenging, so I will be very patient with you and will make sure you fully understand every topic in the syllabus. I will stretch and challenge you to make sure that you stay at the top of your game and I will use materials appropriate to your ability.

My main objective is to help students gain confidence and instil in them a 'can do' attitude. This is something that I believe I am good at. I get great job satisfaction when I see my students develop self-confidence and reach their full potential. I am currently about to enter the 3rd year of my MPhys course at Durham University.
I have a passion for my degree and I think that the joy of physical science problem solving is one that can be easily lost in a school environment. With a more tailored approach to teaching, I hope to be able to give students a better understanding of how the tools that they learn work, which enables them to approach exams and further levels with more confidence, whilst also making the subject more enjoyable.

Teaching Experience:
I have experience tutoring for GCSE as an academic mentor at school with both maths and physics. I have also helped lower-level undergraduates with topics of concern.
Although I don't have lots of formal teaching experience, I love to help people understand new topics and have abundant energy to inspire students.

Tutoring Approach:
I believe that the subjects that I am looking to tutor are genuinely enjoyable if they are presented in the proper way and students are able to explore where their curiosity takes them. Which provides enjoyment and a great sense of achievement
For older students, however, I do not want to undermine the importance of being properly prepared for public examinations. The beauty of maths and physics is that the amount of rote learning is much less than other subjects and practice problem solving and understanding concepts is the key to success, this provides much more engaging revision. Although if you are struggling with teaching yourself a new topic or just didn't find that you 'got it' in class, it can be incredibly demoralising. This is where a second explanation or some targeted understanding can help out. moreover, with regular meetings, we can increase the efficiency of your study and I can teach you some tips on self-assessment and identifying in what manner you can help yourself, which is a vital skill the higher up the educational ladder you climb.

For younger students, my approach is to build a strong foundation of the basic skills whilst exploring more intricate concepts in a guided but ambitious manner. I believe that many students are capable of going far beyond the scope of their syllabuses, with the right guidance and encouragement.

My name is Irina but in the artist's world, I am known as an artist Irisha.
I have been drawing and painting professionally for 14 years. Most of the time I am creating my paintings with pastels and throughout my carrier as an artist, I learned quite a lot about this medium and how to use it to achieve the desired results. I also work with oils. But my private lessons will be concentrated on creating pastel artworks.
I am specializing in pet portraits but I also have done quite a lot of people's portraits and landscapes.

I am Mr Haig and been teaching A level Psychology, Sociology, Biology and GCSE Science teacher since 2019 in a prestigious school in St Albans. My classes are humorous, funny and almost immediately you are getting into Psychology and Science.

Tutored online for 4 years and tutored with Explore Learning for 1 year in person and online both. I tutored GCSE to a level maths and Physics.

Tutoring Approach:
Initial lesson for mathematics involves an assessment - this can be through a past exam paper. This allows me to determine what level the student is working at currently and also what topics need to be focused on more than others. From this I pick a topic to base the next lesson on. The lesson compromises of exam questions and taught material.

For physics I ask the student which exam board they are studying and which topic to focus on for the first session. I then plan a lesson on the topic by doing a question-answer session (It will be like recapping then topic with the student through questions used to prompt their memory). Normally questions are in flash card form. Then for the second half of the session I do exam questions from the exam board the student told me. These are topic based so each lesson will have questions focused on what was covered on the day. I send the notes from the lessons to the student as pdf files too. I write reports after I complete a lesson so parents know what the lesson covered and what to expect for upcoming sessions too. The more fluent a student becomes in answering questions- that shows progress is being made.
