I am a full time A Level Physics and Mathematics teacher at a Tertiary College. We have about 50 students in each of years 12 and 13. 26 of our Physics students gained grade As at AS Level in 2006. 48% A and A* at A2 Level in June 2011. This is twice the Welsh average which puts us at the top of tree. 67% A*,A or B in 2012 in my class.Three of my students have won the Institute of Physics prize for the highest A Level marks in Wales with several gaining 600/600. I also teach A Level Mathematics (Pure, Mechanics and Statistics) and A Level Electronics. Previously I was head of Mathematics, Computing and Physical Sciences but I preferred teaching to administration so I returned to full-time teaching. I like to entertain and inspire! Hi

I have just finished a PhD in maths at Newcastle University so it goes without saying I'm enthusiastic about both maths and physics. On top of this I have a wide variety of interests, and this allows me to find ways of explaining things that the people I'm tutoring can relate to.

Teaching Experience:
While studying at Newcastle I've taken many tutorials for students taking courses in Maths. For the past 6 years I've also worked in a tutoring drop-in centre where any student at Newcastle University can come to ask maths questions. I've always enjoyed this work as over the course of a day I can be asked how to apply maths to many problems from mechanical engineering to fine arts!

I have also done a lot of private tuition of A-levels for all of the major examining boards. I have often got this work from referral of satisfied customers.

I usually find students learn best by working through questions or examples, but I am also happy provide teaching of entire subjects from scratch. I've BEng (Hons) in electrical & electronic engineering degree from London South Bank University.

I was a good science student. My favourite subjects are always Maths, Science, Physics, Computer/IT. I always achieved 95% + mark in math since my school term to Degree level. I also always got good marks in Physics and computing.

I love to teach student who is interested learning. I know the trick to let enjoy learning to make sure my student is enjoying learning and understanding what i'm trying to teach.

If you live too far from me and traveling is not possible then i would prefer to teach on online to save time both side. Parent don't need to waste time to drop or pick up their children. I can record the teaching session if parents want to see what their children learning. They can see straight way what their children is learning.

Largely, this will depend on what the student is hoping to achieve. I appreciate that, most often, a student's aim is to achieve a certain grade in an exam.
