I am a graduate from the University of Sunderland - BSc hons Information Technology and Education - 2:1. I have been teaching for twenty successful years. I'm Head of Mathematics teaching GCSE Mathematics and GCSE ICT at a school in Northumberland. I have excellent experience teaching GCSE Maths, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher and Access. My personal teaching philosophy is to ensure each tutee achieves his/her best with my support. This is achieved by developing strategies to meet their needs, so that they are able to enjoy each lesson and achieve their full potential. I also gained a Master of Education from the University of Newcastle in 2006. I am married and have seven year old twin girls.

I graduated from Durham University with an MA Education and I have Qualified Teacher Status specialised in Chinese teaching. My Bachelor degree was 'Chinese Literature'. I have a recent CRB check, Mandarin teaching experience at both private and state schools in London and East Sussex. I also have experiences of private tuition (age 8 months to 23 years old, from complete beginner to university level) and real passion for this career.

I have been teaching at a private school in London for almost 10 years. Prior to that, I taught at a prestigious private school in Sussex for three years. In the past few years, I have also been working as an A-Level Mandarin examiner. I currently work for Derbyshire County Council as an 'out of school' tutor in the core subjects and also as a private maths tutor. During 2012/13 I worked at Levenshulme High school, an 11-16 girls school in Manchester, where I taught maths. Prior to this I worked at Burnage Media Arts College as a maths teacher and Astley Sports College as a maths teacher with extra responsibilities as the ICT coordinator and the gifted and talented coordinator for the whole school. From completing my degree to pursuing a career in teaching I raced as a semi-professional on the Great Britain National Cycling Squad. I have represented Great Britain at several World Championship events and also the 1998 Commonwealth Games. I have also gained gold medals at both World and National level over the last several years. I am also a member of Glossop mountain Rescue Team.

I have been teaching Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level maths for 13 years. I have taught in secondary schools in both Tameside and Manchester and also delivered one to one maths tuition throughout this period. I'm a certified teacher working as a tutor for students in Norfolk and across the UK. In university I completed a specialist in psychology, while also minoring in English literature. I also completed my teachers' training, specialising in English, as well as excelling in teaching maths and technology. Here is a list of the subjects and levels I tutor:

I mainly focus on online tuition, delivered using Skype or other platforms. While most of my online students are in KS3, GCSE and A-Level (and degree students for psychology), this option can work for students who are in year 4 and above, so long as they are familiar with the basics of using computers. For maths, I make use of Idroo, an online whiteboard which is useful for practicing questions. For computing, I am able to assist with programs relevant to both Microsoft Windows and Chromebook.

Teaching Experience:
I started working as a tutor in London and Surrey in 2013/2014, mainly for students who had been excluded from school. In 2015 I relocated and began tutoring private clients in East Anglia. In 2016 I started offering online tuition, first using Skype, and now with Zoom. I now tutor virtually all of my students online, though I will occasionally tutor at a student's home when my schedule permits.

Tutoring Approach:
For younger students, I assess them on their first appointment to see where their strengths and weaknesses are. I then focus the lessons on the areas they need improvement in, using an individualized approach that is suitable for that particular student. I also help students prepare for examinations, such as the GCSE; in this case I mostly focus on giving them tasks and questions that resemble what they will face on their tests.

For A-level and degree students, I'm usually asked to provide assistance with a specific task. For example, I've helped my students construct outlines in order to structure their essays, answer typical questions that will come up on their exams, and proof read their essays to check content, clarity and grammar. I can also clarify theories that are difficult to understand and help students generate ideas for their thesis.

I am a Spanish native speaker from Mexico. I have 9 years of experience teaching English and Spanish in Mexico and the UK. I am a qualified Spanish Teacher currently working in the Greater Manchester area.

Teaching Experience:
My most significant educational experience comes from teaching in an English School in Mexico, which was a rewarding experience. I was always extremely supportive with my students during the lessons and I consistently showed excellent communication and understanding skills. I helped pupils to improve their language skills through the implementation of varied activities and materials considering their individual needs. During this period of time, I worked with various groups of learners from ages 4-5 up to adults and occasionally worked with low-ability learners and some mild learning difficulties, which helped me to develop excellent classroom management and classroom organisation.

Further to this experience, I also periodically work as a private language tutor where I design and deliver bespoke courses or individual material to young or adult learners.

While studying at university I joined a nursery and primary level school where I worked with children from ages 5-11 teaching them English according to the national curriculum.

In 2018, I started volunteering at All Hallows R.C. High School supporting one of the Spanish teachers during their lessons. During this time I have had the opportunity to work with pupils from Year 7 up to Year 11, and learnt about the UK national curriculum.

I provide online tuition for Geography (Human and Physical) at numerous levels of academic development, alongside being a teacher and examiner for both GCSE and A-Level. Having been awarded a Ph.D. (2017), and successfully completing both an M.A. (2012) and BSc (2011), I have knowledge and experience of teaching and tutoring across the discipline. I was born and raised in Greece where I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Greek Language & Literature at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.I recently moved to the UK (2020) to earn my Master's Degree in Language Sciences with specialization in Neuroscience of Language(University of Reading).
