Personal Description:
In all these years, I have tried to transfer my knowledge to everybody I had sat down to help with his/her economics and business exams (especially accounting and finance). I have provided, and still do when necessary, tuition to members of the family and friends.
Even in College, I have assisted friends in their maths and accounting courses, aiming at helping them understand the methodology that is behind numbers.
I have high confidence in myself that I can succeed in a private teaching/tutoring role. I have always admired young people's minds, and I believe that a teacher's responsibility is to help them both shape them and enrich them within the frame of each individual's personality.

Teaching Experience:
My current position is Lecturer in Finance in one of the leading private business schools in the UK. I am focusing in those areas that I have had a 17 year working experience. Working in the real business world for all these years is an asset for me, which will definitely help me transfer the knowledge I have gained, to younger people.
I have also been recently appointed by a secondary school, as Accounting tutor for a group of students to assist and prepare them for their A2 Accounting exams.

Tutoring Approach:
I have always believed that the best approach to tutoring is the pen and paper approach. That is, I find necessary for a student to practice as much as possible through exercises and problem solving. And as ancient Greeks once said: "Reviewing is the mother of knowledge".

I am a fully qualified teacher of Biology and Environmental Science to A Level, and Maths and the three Sciences to GCSE. I taught for many years in both the private and state sectors.
A semi-retired Environmental Scientist, Zoologist and Freshwater Biologist, I am also fluent in Spanish and German, having spent many years living in Latin American countries, working for German and British multinational companies.

Teaching Experience:
I taught GCSE Science (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) and Maths and A-Level & IB Biology and Environmental Science in both the state and private sectors for many years. I have tutored students in these subjects and levels during the past 10 years, with excellent results almost always surpassing the student's predicted grades..
I have also supported Spanish-language classes and individual students at GCSE level, and have worked on conversational Spanish with adult learners.

Tutoring Approach:
I believe the key to successful tutoring is to provide the help, support and encouragement the student needs. Unlike a classroom setting, the agenda is and must be driven primarily by the student. Thus my first task is always to help students identify their strengths and weaknesses, and what they want to get out of the tutor sessions. From this we jointly develop a strategy and plan of action. I then tailor my approach to fulfil the student's requirements.

I'm a native Spanish speaker with a degree in Modern Languages in English and French from the Open University. I'm from South America, from Italian and French family origins. I lived in Italy for about two years and therefore I speak Italian too.

I have many years of experience teaching Spanish to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced.

Tutoring Approach:
As a tutor, I prefer a personal approach to teaching, since I believe that every person is different and thus may have particular interests and ways of learning. Most importantly, I consider that I can help every student to reach their full potential. I can tailor the teaching to the student's needs. I can give face to face, one to one or small groups. I studied Fine Art at Canterbury College of Art in the 1980's. As an artist I work figuratively. Through drawing in either pencil, charcoal, ink or pen I take my work forward into 3D materials and use photography as a major influence to inform my structures. I love to work with natural forms and use printing processes including lino cut, drypoint and stencil.
I have lived and worked in Lewes for the past 25 years. We have a family home on the outskirts of the town where I also teach Privately - both individually and group classes.

Teaching Experience:
I have lived and worked in Lewes as an Art and Design teacher at the local Sixth Form College, teaching both Level 2 (GCSE and BTEC) and A Level students. I also teach Creative Printmaking Evening classes to adults at college. I have co-ordinated a variety of courses including 2nd year Fine Art A Level students.

Hello! Originally I come from Doncaster in South Yorkshire, but I've lived in Kent for 16+ years now.
I live in Faversham now and have done so for a few years.

Teaching Experience:
I've been an English teacher for over 26 years. During this time I have taught AQA, WJEC and now EDUQAS qualifications at both GCSE and A level.
I have taught A level English Literature and A level English Language. My passion is English Language-I love to teach all aspects of this subject from Child Language Acquisition, to Diversity in Language to Language Change.
In my career to date, I have been Head of Department and then Head of Faculty and Senior Teacher but for health reasons now I am part time and Second in English at my current school. The school I currently teach in is a non-selective secondary faith school where I have worked for over 15 years now. Prior to my current school, I have taught in state, comprehensive schools in Yorkshire.

I think I'd take the approach whereby I'd let my tutee tell me where their areas to develop lay and go from there. Once I get to know my tutee better I would then be able to tailor my teaching according to their needs. A collaborative approach works better in my opinion.

I also frequently share the mark scheme for each question, so that students can understand the elements and areas that examiners seek to reward.

I can give lessons in music reading and theory and in the guitar (twenty years playing experience). I am DBS checked.

I am interested in helping students towards a really thorough understanding of the topic they are studying, including the fundamental aspects that are often skipped over. Hello! I am a recently graduated Illustrator with a first class honours from Grays School Of Art, with experience of working both freelance and with companies at a professional level. Ive always been really passionate and enthusiastic about art with a focus on work that tells a story, which is what drew me towards studying illustration. Ive worked with a range of ages right the way through from early high school to portfolio preparation and being a graduate myself i understand what is required for university level portfolios as well as high school examination boards. I have also worked with younger children to make art an interesting and engaging subject focusing on teaching fundamentals but through a lens they find interesting and engaging.

A friendly and relaxed approach looking to ensure that you have an understanding of fundamentals and help to create a portfolio or to complete course/school work to a standard that is both professional but also reflects your interests and gives you a folio of work you're really happy with. While the fundamentals are obviously important im far more interested in helping to cultivate interest and enthusiasm rather than tutoring in a very dry archaic manner. I am a semi-retired teacher and am a very passionate and experienced teacher. I am a keen sportswoman and musician. I have three adult children.

Teaching Experience:
I have over 25 years of teaching in Secondary schools and since 2019 I have been teaching adults and GCSE and A level French and German. My group of GCSE German students and my A level German students achieved outstanding results in 2023.I also teach private students at highly regarded English independent schools.

Hi! I'm David and I'm a year 13 student having just graduated from St Paul's School London and finished A levels and looking to go on to study Mathematics at either the University of Cambridge or Imperial College London next year, with 4 A* predicted and 9s in 11/11 subjects at GCSE. I really love Maths and Physics and so I naturally have spent lots of time trying to understand the entire A level syllabus, to the point where I'm now confident I could teach it and anything below that to absolutely anybody, and would love to be able to help those who want to improve their grades. I have had the most wonderful teachers during my time at school and so I am now confident that I can transmit any concepts and ideas lucidly to any of my tutees.

Teaching Experience:
I've tutored previously in St Mary's Ukrainian School for a period of 6 months, where I tutored GCSE Maths and brought up three peoples' grades from a 7 to a 9, a 6 to an 8 and a 6 to a 9 respectively. Although I had to stop the tutoring due to other commitments the students that I tutored said that they would absolutely have continued if I had had the availability, and it heped me understand more where people struggle and how to best help them with their studies.

Tutoring Approach:
Of course I think the question volume is important but beneath all of that I think that you need to have a comprehensive understanding of the subject in order to build confidence for the actual exam so I might use various questions as examples (which I'm very well versed in having just finished A levels) but if it's clear that there's a fundamental gap in understanding I'll address that first before teaching them how to do the questions.
