Personal Description:

I have taught Physics at all school levels for 25 years. I have been the head of Science faculty in an East Renfrewshire school for over 10 years.
Additionally I work for Qualification Scotland, formerly SQA, and Education Scotland in assessment moderation, exam question writing, writing courses and the marking of candidate exam papers. This has been for Physics at all levels from National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher.
The knowledge I have gained from this allows me to empower students with the best strategies to maximise their marks in assessments.

Teaching Experience:

I am a very experienced school Physics teacher and have been the faculty head of Science for over 10 years in an East Renfrewshire school. I was also previously the Head of the Physics department at another school near Glasgow.
Whilst at these schools I led the development of teaching strategies and student materials that have supported all learners to obtain the best possible grades. Our results improved progressively over the years in both schools.

Tutoring Approach:

I have extensive experience in tutoring students in Physics with unqualified success. My methodologies in teaching and learning builds thinking skills, recall of knowledge and hence problem solving This is crucial to success in Physics.
I provide all materials; notes for learning a topic, consolidation questions and exam past paper questions. These are all stored digitally on a cloud based platform and students can access them at any time and therefore are a great resource for revision.
I offer both face to face tuition and online. I have a very professional online set up which I have developed over the past 4 years. I have had extensive and very positive feedback on the set up. I pay monthly for the set up but my students have free access to it at any time.
