My name is Andy. I finished my A-Levels in 2011 and am preparing to study German and Russian at The University of Cambridge starting in October. I excelled at languages in school, receiving an A* in German A2 and an A in French AS. Between school and university I studied at the Goethe Institute in Berlin, lived and worked in Germany for over half a year, and am now starting to learn Russian and pusuing my other interests such as computer programming. I have also travelled extensively in France and Germany.

Teaching Experience:
I have no formal teaching experience (yet!) but learning three foreign languages myself and having studied German in a class actually taught in German, I am very familiar with the aspects of language that students have difficulty with. I am always thinking of better ways to explain things than the way they were explained to me, because every student learns in their own way; this makes me well placed to teach languages, German in particular due to my recent experiences in my gap year.

Martial Arts/Self Defence:

I'm a high-ranking martial arts instructor (6th degree black belt with nearly 40 years experience) and have been teaching now for around 30 years.

At my school in Dursley I have students of all ages from five years up to those in their sixties's. I teach courses and seminars to groups of all sizes. I've taught in schools, worked with police and youth groups etc. I often teach private lessons to individuals, both from my own school and those with no prior experience. For me, languages are a vital component of a rounded education. I have always loved to travel and being able to communicate with people in different countries in their own language has always thrilled me. Teaching languages allows me to help others to enjoy their language learning, too.

I am a mum of 2 primary-aged children. We love visiting parks, going for a walk, swimming, scooting and playing. We also love making things, painting, and they love to help me with my little craft projects.

I have been a professional performer for over 14 years with experience in all different types of acting. From voice to physical theatre! I've done it all!

When I was very young I starred in multiple theatre roles, developing various skills and delving into the works of many drama and theatre practitioners such as Stanislavski, Brecht, Artaud, Chekhov, Berkoff and many, many more!

After many years in theatre I decided to branch out into other forms of acting, I moved to voice acting in which I developed a personal method to help keep and maintain a healthy voice as well as using pre-established methods to create and enhance my repertoire of characterized voices
