Ali - Northolt tutor

Information About Ali:

Personal Description:

I am currently a student aiming to gain extra experience in the teaching world to hopefully develop my skills of helping people set up solid foundations for their future. I have 2 sisters who are older teachers and they have helped me with their expertise on teaching GCSE students to prepare for their summer exams. With this, I have learnt all the proper and efficient techniques to aid students to getting top marks.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught 3 students of varying skill levels: the first was a year 10 student stuck getting half marks in march, who ended up with 81% in their end of year exams. The second being a year 8 student who struggles with dyslexia, whom I helped to understand confusing written questions, with him making outstanding maths progress. The third student I taught was a year 11 student for a short time who wanted to achieve top marks, he is currently on comfortable grade 7s and has high hopes for their exams in summer.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to take a more "consistent progress" type of teacher as I had teachers who taught me in the same way leading me to achieving high grades in both AS and GCSE maths. I find this technique helpful as progress does not make the student overconfident, but also allows them to see over time clear improvement, proving to be very helpful with stressful exam seasons happening all year round.
