I have over 8 years of tutoring experience and have tutored 100+ pupils of varying mathematical ability, which has given me a great insight into the common problems pupils have. Tutoring Approach:
Every student is an individual and deserves to be treated as such. There is no one size fits all approach that works for everyone so I make sure to really understand how all my students think in order to optimise their learning.

During lessons I go as fast or as slow as needed. I can start from the basics and build up or get straight into more advanced concepts. Practice questions are extremely important and lessons usually consist of us working careful through a question set on a particular topic. It is very important to me that my tutees feel comfortable and their confidence continues to rise with each lesson.

I believe that everyone deserves the best chance at school. It does not matter to me if you are a straight A student looking for some insurance, or if you are a bottom set student who has always struggled with maths. All I ask from my tutees is a willingness to learn.

I'm Chris, a 23 year old maths PhD student at Brunel University. I was originally granted a School Studentship to fund my studies but then soon after starting my research I was upgraded to an ESPRC grant. I study maths because I enjoy it, and enthusiasm to teach it comes part of this package. For A-level and higher I specialize in pure maths, so algebra, calculus etc so if you happen to be struggling with areas such as these then I'm your guy. Any level lower than A-level I will also be happy to help with.

I do not have a current CRB check but I'm sure I could get one if it is needed - I haven't commited any crimes trust me.

Whilst in 6th form and during my undergraduate years I often went back to my secondary school to help out in the maths department.

For the past academic year I have taught many seminars for foundation, 1st and 2nd year undergraduates. These have ranged from 2-100 students per seminar.

My name is Dilafruz (Dilya) and I am originally from Tajikistan. My mother tongue is Persian Tajik and also, Russian.
Before I moved to London, I was learning English at university and graduated in Economics and Finance. My passion has always been to live in a city where I could practice and perfect my English.

8 years later, I have three young children (ages 2-7 years) and a baking business. I speak English fluently, have picked up Turkish through TV series and now learning Arabic online! I am currently on a gap year where I would be at University if not for covid. I have passions for music, martial arts and maths (so long as it starts with an M, it's probably good). I think that this year has been a nightmare for students and teachers alike and I would love to lend my experience to help out with any students struggling, so I have decided to take on online tutoring work during this year.

I have not done paid tutoring work before (though the offer has arisen). Mostly I have taught friends and locals or explained what I'm studying to unwitting bystanders at church or school.

I think it's most important that the student understands the essence of the subject and can think critically about it, and I like to discuss this with students until we can apply this understanding to the syllabus and the exam to come such that anything they've learned before or will learn on that topic will make sense. If the content is difficult for the student I can explain from a number of angles, including visual methods such as the Desmos graphing calculator.

Hello to all prospective students. My name is Mark and I have been teaching secondary level Science and maths for over 10 years. I am personally passionate about learning and endeavour to ignite the same love of learning in each student that I teach.

I have loved science and maths from a young age and went on to pursue a degree in biomedical sciences, prior to my secondary teacher training. I hope to continue to work with young people to help them realise their own goals in the fields of science and engineering.

Outside the classroom I am an avid musician and play guitar to grade 6 as well as writing and recording my own songs. I love to listen to audiobooks about ancient history and geopolitics, often whilst on a long walk in the countryside. I also like to play some sports and swim occasionally.

Hello, I'm Donald - experienced tutor. I was educated at Edinburgh University and worked in the nuclear power industry for over 30 years. In that time I have undertaken teaching activities of various types. After retiring (2010), I started part time private tuition, with good results at all levels.

I have been a private tutor since 2010, with an average of about 10 pupils, weekly, during school term. I am happy to give tuition in-person, or online using Zoom and my own overhead camera system.
