Teaching Experience:
I have had approximately 30 years experience of teaching English and Maths and this has included helping pupils to prepare for the SATs tests and for GCSEs. I have worked with children and adults on a one to one basis and in groups and fully understand the needs of both.

I have had extensive experience teaching in schools and am therefore familiar with the requirements of the national curriculum at key stages 1, 2 3 and 4.

I also have a vast array of resources and past exam papers and can also create resources that are tailor made for a specific pupil.

Alan began exhibiting his photography back in 1995 and won various awards through the Australian photography industry bodies: the A.I.P.P. and A.C.M.P. In 1997, he was awarded the 'Nikon/Panorama Showcase Photographer of the Year' for his portfolio of ten images. The judges included the late David Moore. In 2006 he received two nominations in the international Black and White Spider Awards for fine art and sport. In 2008 Alan took part in a weeks long photo workshop in London, taught by two Magnum Agency photographers. He was one of 14 chosen from 130 photographers that supplied portfolios.

I graduated in 2011 and I came to Liverpool for my masters at the University of Liverpool. I, always, arrange a pre-lesson meeting (either online or face to face) with interested people in order to obtain information regarding their level, the time they want to invest in their learning, their interests and their favourite way of learning things. Then, I suggest the appropriate learning materials. They are usually a blend of textbooks and my own materials.
I always try to make the lesson fun and productive. I, also, believe in the power of technology and the positive impact that it can have in the learning process. I use a number of online educational tools to help the learning of my students.

Hi everyone! I'm a Japanese teacher in Birmingham/Sutton Coldfield. I grew up in Tokyo Japan, worked in various industries in Japan and America, including international film festivals (as an organiser), research institute (as a researcher), charity organisaion for environment, and schools (as a teacher) etc. I studied social anthropology and hold bachelor's and master's degrees in sociology. I currently live in Birmingham UK and teach Japanese online and in classrooms (a British boarding school and Saturday Japanese school).
