My teaching has reading and listening at it's heart. The best thing I have done since coming to London is open my ears to all the styles I didn't like, listen over and over, until they started to grow on me! Music is a cultural and historical lesson as well, it's interesting to see where the popular styles of today came from! Reading will just make you more employable as all the session, musical theatre and holiday camp drummers will tell you! I use software such as Noteflight which allows me to playback scores, making sight reading an easier and more enjoyable process, and meaning I can share scores with students via email. Each student is also given a video recording of what we studied in the lesson, which is a very valuable resource, something they can take away from each lesson, and makes remembering what we learned much easier!

I come from a family where music is extremely important. At school, my first band was a rock covers band where my brother played bass. We played regularly in pubs in Dorset, (you may have heard of the Teddy Rocks festival, we played in the very first festival and have played with my band Last Resort ever since). Hi, my name is Maahi, and I am currently a student at St Dominic's 6th form, studying Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics at a level. I received an outstanding set of GCSE grades and my set of results was even published in the school newspaper. I like helping younger students in any way possible, in year 10, I helped those who have come from foreign countries or have a lower reading level and have difficulty reading to become fluent readers through a 'reading buddies' programme. After having tutored many of my friends and family in the younger years, I realised that I have a passion for teaching as I can make even the most mediocre thing interesting and understandable. I am open to teaching online virtually, so you don't even have to travel anywhere- all at a reasonable price! Each lesson will be approximately an hour long, whenever at your convenience as long as I can find time on my schedule as well to teach.

Personal Description:
I am a dedicated tutor that seeks to provide detailed classroom activities that allow students to reach their potential. I have experience within the accounting industry and keep my knowledge relevant by working 1 morning per week in an accounting role, covering profit margins, payroll and invoicing.

Teaching Experience:
I have 8 years experience as a tutor and have covered all levels of AAT from level 1 to level 4. I am dedicated to the students and provide a wide range of activities to allow each student to understand, based on their personal learning style. I stay relevant with the awarding body by keeping up annual CPD and attending the regional events for both adult learners and apprentices.

Tutoring Approach:
I bring lots of experience to the role and approach each student individually depending on their learning style. I will adapt my teaching style on evaluation of the students needs. Due to my hands on approach and up to date knowledge, I bring life experiences to the classroom to allow the students to understand the affects of journals and book keeping entries on the business or the statements that they will produce.
