I have over 15 years teaching experience, the majority of my work has been at secondary level, where my specialisms are Drama, English, English Literature, Film studies and History. However, I also have extensive experience in primary education where I have taught across the breadth of the curriculum.

My preoccupation with academia was nurtured at a competitive Grammar School, RGS Worcester, a top school with high expectations. I went on to acquire a first class degree. I remain now, as I have always been, a high achiever.

I also work in the creative arts, as actor, tutor and director, inspired by performance art in all its forms. Teaching Experience:
I am very experienced in teaching having coached volleyball for the past 6 years. Working with children from ages 10 all the way up to members of the university team. Teaching Experience:

Nice to meet you! I'm Rebecca; I'm 36 years old and graduated from Bangor University with a BSc in Psychology with Clinical and Health Psychology. After university I spent a year as a specialist support worker for adults with autism and autistic traits. I have also completed a Level 2 Counselling Course and a Level 2 in Caring for Children and Young People course. With my psychology degree and experience I am more than happy to cater for students that might need a bit of extra help, and have experience teaching students with Aspergers, Personality Disorder, and depression.

Following uni, I spent nearly 2 years teaching English as a foreign language in Japan. Whilst in Japan, I also learnt how to speak conversational Japanese, and can also read and write hiragana, katakana, and N5/ N4 level kanji. I now tutor Japanese full time, and have been doing so since 2014.

To better understand what is needed for GCSE Japanese, I took my GCSE in 2016 achieving an A*. I also took and passed my JLPT N5 in 2025; I wanted to be able to fully describe the N5 experience to my students.
