These days, I've lived in Yorkshire longer than I lived in Russia, so my life is very much shaped by both cultures. Let me briefly describe you my past experience. I was born in Saint-Petersburg and graduated from Russain State University of Foreign Languages, I have a master's degree in teaching of modern languages. I have been working first at school, then privately for more than 15 years.

I started teaching Russian at Trent College in Derbyshire as an extra-curricular activity for a group of students in year 7-8 and 9, providing all the teaching materials and authentic programme. I covered all the main parts in terms of philology and diverse the lessons with curious facts about the country, traditions and customs. At the end of one term course, students had basic skills in reading and writing, they were able to introduce themselves and speak on common themes (hobbies, cuisine, travelling etc). I never stop learning myself. I work as an interpreter and, therefore, I constantly expand my knowledge in different spheres of life.

I have experience in tutoring beginner's Russian and I am happy to continue helping others learn this amazing language. Beginner's level is the foundation of your future success in communication.

My professional experience in the UK covers a great range of topics for discussions (finance, insurance, travel) which will boost your confidence in speaking. I will guide you through the correct and appropriate use of grammar structures. You will get invaluable advice on how to improve your writing skills too!

I try to tailor lessons to your interests, so that your memory works better by easily absorbing vocabulary and grammar structures. Why not to learn how to say "Let's do it!" by singing a song, or memorize days of the week in Russian by reading a bed time story from your childhood?
