Tutoring Approach:
I would stick to one or two straightforward objectives for one lesson and kept my materials as simple as possible. I would use contrasting pictures, colour word cards and self-made flashcards in order to make the lesson interesting and easy to follow. When presenting new grammar, I always try to kept it basic and simple. Moreover, I would use self-made puzzles to guided the learners to using logic, intuition and elimination to make up a character. It is also important to make learning fun and entertaining so I would try to maintain some humour when teaching. Business: if it is a business client we look a the situations they encounter in their work and using role play we practise English in the workplace. If presentations or speaking in meetings is relevant I get the student to stand up in front of me as if I were the client or colleagues.

Engineering is one of the hardest subjects you can study, and it doesn't help when module content is disorganised, learning materials are messy and hard to follow, and when lecturers are too busy to respond to your questions. I have been tutoring for five years now. I started when I was 16, volunteering for my Duke Of Edinburgh Award at an after-school tutoring centre. Then I went on to having private students of my own at both A level and GCSE level in person and online. I have recently returned from travelling where I worked for 3 months in an alternative learning school in the Dominican Republic and taught Maths and English to various people on my journey.

I teach up to GCSE level including Further Maths and Additional Maths. In my lessons we figure out together what areas need working on and start from there.
