I am familiar with the syllabi for OCR, AQA, and Edexcel for GCSE, A-level, and degree courses. The first session will include an informal discussion with parents/tutee to gain an understanding of the tutee's requirements and to explain my role and how I can aid learning. The tutee largely dictates the structure of the sessions, including the subjects they wish to focus on and their preferred learning style, which can be discussed during the first session. As the student develops, the structure can be adapted accordingly.

After completing my D.Phil from the University of Oxford, I worked for 7 years as a Senior Biologist for a small drug discovery company where I was responsible for screening new drug targets in tissue models for human disease. Over the years I've had so many comments from students/colleagues about my ability to break subjects down to ease understanding, and coupled with my passion for science and sharing that with others I decided to change career and become a full-time science tutor. Engineering is one of the hardest subjects you can study, and it doesn't help when module content is disorganised, learning materials are messy and hard to follow, and when lecturers are too busy to respond to your questions. I am a Turkish Cypriot and I am quite familiar to the GCSE and A-level curriculum. Apart from my academic background I'd like to address couple more stuff I have in my life. First off I have to state that I love learning and teaching new stuff, and also I believe teaching is the older brother of learning; as you can not say that you have learned something deeply if you are unable to teach it to someone that does not know it; like I play chess and have been the 6th table player of my municipality's chess team. Even though I have attended many many games with that team I was not aware of the fact that thinking simple would actually be a benefit in any game, and I realized this when last year I have aided an association's chess team in stars category as an educator. When working with youngsters that are looking at the game much simpler than you do, you have to match their energy and try to predict what obstacles may get in their way, and I believe this working experience improved me quite a bit in that matter. I am a Liverpool-based Aerospace Engineering undergraduate at UWE Bristol with nearly six years of tutoring and education-support experience. I teach Maths and Science from KS2 through GCSE, with suitable A-level topics considered after checking the exact subject and content. I offer online tuition across the UK and in-person lessons in selected Liverpool areas.

Teaching Experience:
From August 2020 to June 2026, I worked as a Tutor and Education Support Assistant at The One Tuition Ltd. I delivered one-to-one and small-group tuition, prepared lessons, adapted explanations for different learners and communicated with pupils and parents. My experience includes Maths and Science across KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-level, alongside safeguarding, behaviour support and practical support for learners with diverse additional needs.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is patient and structured. I identify the exact misconception, explain the concept clearly, model a worked example and use guided practice before gradually reducing support as the learner becomes more confident. I adapt the pace and explanation to the individual, check understanding regularly and keep communication clear with parents where appropriate.
