During my long service in the Pharma industry (~30 years), I have run many short courses and workshops. Since I don't have formal teaching experience, my approach focuses on building strong fundamentals first. For example, if I'm teaching Math's to a Year 1 student, I start with the basics addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. I make sure the student understands the concept behind each problem, because once they understand it, they're already halfway to solving it. After that, I encourage them to try solving questions in their own way. If they make mistakes, I guide them patiently until they understand the correct method.
