I graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 2000 and have taught there as well as at other colleges, schools and museums. The sketchbook should be a journal of your ideas and thoughts. It's not something for finished works. It's your space to experiment, to discover, but also to fail and make mistakes.

I am a UK qualified teacher with 20+ years' teaching experience. I graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc (Hons) in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2003 and a year later completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the same university. I currently teach all GCSE sciences as well as Year 12 and Year 13 A Level Chemistry at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. I am a designated Advanced Skills Teacher; recognition of my outstanding classroom practice and the excellent results that this generates for the young people I teach. I work for the Cambridge International Exam Board, being an experienced marker of A Level chemistry. Personal Description:
I am a confident and independent individual, who thrives to help others by sharing my knowledge and skills. I love to learn, as I am a firm believer that knowledge is power, and no matter how old you get you never stop learning.

Teaching Experience:
I have taken part in various work experience opportunities in the field of teaching, and have been successful in acquiring the skills to work with children of both primary and secondary school. I have studied A-level maths, hence I have a very strong understanding of the curriculum and the knowledge needed to study GCSE maths. Currently, I am university student studying BSc Economics which requires a deeper understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts, which I have gained over my academic studies.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring consists of understanding the needs of each student, in order to cater for them specifically. I work to understand their strengths and weaknesses, to analyse their gaps in knowledge may lie. I am aware of the steps I will need to take to help each individual succeed in their studies.
