I am 54 years old and I have been a self employed tutor for over five years. I live in Nelson and always travel to the homes of my students. Where possible I try to liaise with my student's teachers in school, but this can prove difficult.

I have been a fully qualified teacher for over 6 years and I absolutely love what I do! I have particular interest in working with children on a 1-1 basis as I love to personalise their learning and help them to see things in a different way then they may have been taught and not quite understand before.

I was a volunteer teacher when I was an undergraduate student in China. It was in a countryside school of Hunan province. I went there with my schoolmates in a summer holiday.
