About Me
I am a highly experienced and dedicated teacher with over 26 years of teaching experience within the London Borough of Redbridge. I hold a degree in Psychology, followed by a Postgraduate qualification in Education specialising in English, alongside Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Alongside my teaching career, I have consistently tutored children on a one-to-one basis, providing personalised support tailored to each child's individual learning needs and helping them to build confidence and achieve their full potential.
Throughout my career, I have worked with children across a wide range of abilities and learning needs, helping them to grow in confidence, develop strong academic skills and achieve success in their learning journey.

I provide personalised support for primary-aged children, including:
SATs preparation
Phonics Screening preparation
Year 5 and Year 6 booster classes
7+ and 11+ preparation
English/ maths support and intervention
Homework guidance and structured learning plans
Home education support on specific days
I work closely with parents to create tailored learning programmes that meet each child's individual needs and learning style.
I support children in building confidence, exam techniques, and independent learning skills to help them succeed academically.
Specialist Experience
I am highly familiar with the KS1&2 curriculum and have extensive experience preparing children for Year 6 SATs in May. In addition, I have worked as a KS2 examiner, helping to mark SATs papers, giving me valuable insight into assessment expectations and standards.
I also have strong experience supporting children with SEND and neurodivergent learners. I understand the importance of adapting teaching approaches to ensure every child feels supported, engaged and capable of succeeding.
