Hello. I am a fully qualified teacher with experience across the whole of the primary curriculum, including special needs and teaching for SATS tests . I continually update my teaching, mainly through the National Education Union online training sessions. I have had great results tutoring children extensively on a 1-2-1 basis for SATS and the 11+ entrance exam, plus have experience teaching adult literacy and English as a Foreign Language. I aim to motivate both children and adults who find reading and writing challenging, building both confidence and skills. I was a volunteer teacher when I was an undergraduate student in China. It was in a countryside school of Hunan province. I went there with my schoolmates in a summer holiday. I specialise in English and Mathematics for primary-aged learners, including SATs and 11+ preparation, as well as supporting students to strengthen core skills, exam technique, and independent learning.

I have over 12 years of experience working across different areas of education, including 3 years as a Teaching Assistant, 8 years as a Primary School Teacher, and the past three and a half years as a full-time online tutor.
