I have over 13 years of experience teaching languages, and hold a PGCE & Master's degree in teaching from the University of Oxford. I take a different approach to my tutoring depending on the individual I am working with. On my first session with my tutee I will find out the areas that they are experiencing the most difficulty in, and what their strengths and weaknesses are, as this will help me to develop an effective and helpful way of teaching. I tend to focus on grammar drills followed by exercises that include different topics of vocabulary, however I tailor classes to the needs of the tutee. My online classes include powerpoints, games and grammar and vocabulary exercises all through speaking or writing exercises.
As I studied for my GCSE's and A-Levels a few years ago, I have a lot of revision notes and books which are of great help and am happy to mark practice past papers for students as I know personally how helpful these are.

I believe that a successful education requires solid understanding at every level. I am committed to supporting the individual needs of students to build their confidence and language competency. I proactively keep up to date on current pedagogy, including developments within MFL secondary education.

I draw on, appropriately adapt and/or build or create appropriate resources depending on the needs of individual students. I use digital tools including Kerboodle and Wordwall.
