I have spent time teaching EFL in France and Spain and primary subjects in the UK both in schools and as a private tutor. I am now offering primary tuition services online in York during this time when parents might need to be working from home and need extra support with their child's homework.

Teaching Experience:
I taught as a private tutor in Salamanca whilst studying for my degree and for one year in Barcelona following this in a nursery, primary and secondary school. I additionally taught in two primary schools in Paris. I have worked as both a teaching assistant in the UK and as an English as a foreign language tutor in a Languages College. I have a PGCE in primary education and now teach in schools in and around York.

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching English as a second language in Malaga Spain for 5+ years.

In Malaga, Spain there is a shortage of learning opportunities and availability of English tutors. I recognised that as a native speaker I could dedicate my spare time to tutoring students who wished to improve their conversational English. I taught on average 8-10 students a week. Ages varying mostly between 4-16 with the occasional adult learner.

With the recent major overhaul of GCSEs and A Levels, it is a great challenge for schools to cover all the course content in class and prepare students thoroughly for the external examinations. With large class sizes and often a lack of individual speaking practice, pupils can lack confidence and not achieve their full potential in their exams or lessons in school. This overwhelm students and could stress them as they may find they have not had enough time or opportunities to prepare themselves for the Speaking Exam or writing skills.
It is, essential to review past papers and study the specific requirements for a given exam; however, this is not everything, and I believe that there are some more general principles which help across the board. For example, writing techniques, translation, and of course motivation and focusing in grammar will help to achieve the best possible outcome.
