I therefore place a great emphasis on guiding students through the process of answering past paper questions, across all topic areas. In our sessions I will help with essay structure, illustrate how to use higher order analytical and evaluation skills, and crucially, how to apply an answer to information in a case study, or how to bring in real world examples.

Over the years I have taught an increasing proportion of students online, so that currently about 90% of my tutoring is done this way. I aim to provide a solid grounding in the subject while paying close attention to the needs of the individual. An initial meeting establishes the student's needs and the direction tuition should take. We then begin work on a programme of study which focuses on filling gaps in knowledge and addressing any areas of weakness in some cases we conduct a diagnostic test .
I set regular mile stones/homework and assignments - the quantity varying with how much time the student has - and give feedback the following session.

My knowledge of the subject coupled with practical experience help the students to understand the topics in a better way and relate them to the practical world.

Tutoring Approach:
I think my job is not only to impart knowledge but also give confidence to the students by highlighting their abilities and skills and at the same time working on their weaknesses.

I was coaching a CIMA student and it was her last chance to pass that exam. I noticed that knowledge of the subject was not an issue.

I just fine tuned her concepts and gave her confidence.
