I have completed my PhD in Creative and Critical Writing at UEA. I also have an MA (Distinction) in Creative Writing from Royal Holloway, and a First Class Honours Degree in English Literature. I also have a good Fine Art degree from Chelsea College of Art and Design. I have been a private tutor for twenty years, and have taught many children in that time.

I am currently tutoring in Wadebridge in Cornwall but can offer Skype or Zoom lessons.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught at undergraduate level at university as well as writing skills in an academic skills centre. I have also taught SATs to thirteen year olds. I have a PTTLs degree level 4 qualification and taught on an Access Course to adult learners.

I use past exam papers, model essays, and devote time and attention to close reading of set texts at GCSE and A-Level. I have also given art lessons.

I have been a loyal student to BCU, where I obtained, both my Fine Art degree and my MA in Art and Education Practice. Planning for my PhD research study too. This post will help me through my research and will give me a good access to both teaching and research. I have been looking for this opportunity to teach alongside my PhD study.
I became a practicing artist and researcher in the subject of Britishness and modern values since 2003. Working from my studio as well as researching . I am interested in culture diversity and community. I am quite focused on research and combining my work with strong evidence. I primarily teach young people preparing for art portfolio presentations and university entrance exams. I make a policy to teach from life using the traditional teaching methods and techniques of the great masters from the Italian Renaissance as this is how I was educated. This portfolio review helps me see previous drawings students have done which helps me understand how to construct our lessons in order to achieve success.

My name is Josephine and I'm 32 years old. I'm Danish but have lived in London since 2014 when I did my BA in Fine Art.
I have a Master's Degree in Animation Film from The Royal College of Art.
The past 8 months I've lived in Hebden Bridge between Manchester and Leeds to open our first Studio in FedUP Studio Lab, the production company where I work part time. My role is producer and assistant creative director. I'm a freelancer director in the company as well.
I'm currently living in London where I also arrange workshops in art and animation with galleries, UAL and FedUP Studio Lab. I'm enthusiastic, and I have a great love for knowledge and teaching as much as making films and art.

I enjoy tutoring because the process between student and tutor is wonderful. I learn just as much as my students and when you have worked hard for a while and start to see a shift in their behaviour when studying - understanding or producing - and they end up challenging you or teaching you instead, that is absolutely fantastic. I am a contemporary artist with over 14 years of experience in fine art, encompassing drawing (pencil and charcoal), oil painting, sculpting, and stone and wood carving. Hey, I'm Phoebe (some people call me Flea) I'm a 26 year old interdisciplinary artist from South Wales. I work mainly with creative writing, painting and sculpture. I have a first class BA in Fine Art and I believe that confidence and creativity are tools to anyone living a more well-rounded life, and figuring out who they really are or want to become. My practise is holistic and intuitive, using whatever materials that express me ideas

Teaching Experience:
I have run art workshops both with adults and children, I volunteer at an Arts centre to run art workshops with primary school children surrounding different techniques and art mediums. I also have some experience teaching experimental approaches to writing and sound work. I have transferable experience in printing, design, book binding, painting, drawing, performance, editing and film, sculpture, textile.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is more broad and wellbeing based. I am able to share my material knowledge, but focus more on what the creative task may give my students confidence and esteem. There is no right way to be creative, the process is about questioning and experimenting and I warmly encourage my students to be patient with themselves and trust the process.

Former lecturer at Central Saint Martins and Camberwell Schools of Art (UAL, 25 years) and Head of MA Screendance at London Contemporary Dance School. Recent Fellow at New York University. Selected awards and commissions include Arts Council England, BFI, British Council, Wellcome, Jerwood, Sadler's Wells, BBC and Mayor of London. Graduate of École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris (Fine Art, scholarship prize); Birkbeck, University of London (Philosophy); Middlesex University, London (Fashion & Textiles).

Over 25 years lecturing across Arts: Fine Art, Film & Moving Image, Sound, Digital Media, Illustration, Animation, Graphics, Fashion & Textiles and Dance Film at UAL (CSM & CCA) and LCDS. Experience spans Foundation through to MA & Phd, including joint honours and cross-discipline students. Founder of KAS (Kennington Kinaesthetic Arts & Science), a Mayor of London Culture Seeds award-winning community arts and education project, bringing arts education to lower-income families on a voluntary basis since 2011.

Tutoring Approach:
Open, relaxed and tailored to you. I begin by listening and disciussing where you are now and where you'd like to get to - not a fixed syllabus. I'm equally at home working through a sketchbook, preparing a portfolio, discussing degree options, or walking a gallery together with a specific brief in mind. Particularly well suited to students who don't fit neatly into one box: A-level and Foundation students uncertain which direction to take or which degree to apply for; those considering cross-discipline or joint honours study; degree students thinking ahead to an MA; and adults at any stage. If you're unsure what you want to make or where you want to study, I can help you work that out. Nothing is set in stone on the first step - and that's often where the most interesting work begins.
