I do not have any official qualifications in Italian, however my background in romance languages (Italian is a Latin-based language which, broadly speaking, I find to have a very similar vocabulary to Spanish with the grammar of French!) and my methodical nature means I would ensure that every lesson is thoroughly planned and carefully checked; I would never teach you anything I am unsure of, as this can be greatly detrimental. I am not available to help with exam preparation for Italian or to teach more advanced levels. With my background working in secondary schools, I specialise in teaching KS3 (years 7-9) and GCSE Spanish learners. I ensure I am up-to-date with the demands of the National Curriculum in England and the format and requirements of secondary school examinations. I am particularly familiar with the AQA syllabus, however I provide quality exam preparation for all GCSE and A level exam boards. As an English native and having started my own Spanish-learning journey at school, I have acquired an acute understanding of the foreign language-learning process and am therefore able to offer unique insight and support into all aspects of my clients' journey towards fluency. I am well-accustomed to recognising the most difficult stages of learning the Spanish language and I am fast at identifying the strengths and weaknesses of my tutees. I aim to leave clients feeling more confident with their Spanish from the very first lesson. I am known for my love of Spanish grammar and I have a flare for teaching verbs and tenses in a logical and clear way. I have an online booking system which is updated regularly with my availability. This allows my clients the flexibility to book online Spanish lessons with ease, at a time and on a day that suits them. I recognise the reality of busy family schedules, and therefore clients are able to book lesson slots with as little as 24 hours notice, or alternatively, block-book as many lessons as they wish in order to secure their preferred time slot.

Some students come to me for additional help with their school courses and I can work on specific areas and give pointers for improving grades. I also tutor home educated students who want me to help them through the whole syllabus

I usually do a combination of grammar and other skills during a lesson. I find online tutoring is an efficient way to teach. Student and tutor have to be very focused, and we need to have the lesson planned carefully to make sure we have access to documents, so no time is wasted finding materials or deciding what to do. I also set homework if parents want this, and it does help to maximise the lesson time.

Teaching Experience:
After my degree in French and Spanish, and PGCE, I went on to teach in a secondary school. After this I started out as a private tutor, working with students from a range of backgrounds and Amis. I have taught both French and Spanish from lower secondary to A Level, including board era and overseas students.

Before moving to the UK, I completed a four-year Bachelor's degree in Early Years Education in Alcalá de Henares University (Spain).

My work experience goes from working as a nursery nurse to work as a Spanish Assistant in secondary schools assisting GCSE and A-Level Spanish students.

I've had the chance to teach in a variety of settings, from large groups to one-on-one sessions. For a year, I taught English to a class of 33 first-year law students, designing lessons that focused on the specific language skills they needed in a legal context.
