I am the author of four scientific publications in the field of linguistic relations in Russian, English and Tatar.

While living in the UK I have worked as a freelance tutor and translator for Scottish&Newcastle, Scottish Parliament, NHS and Rudolf Steiner School. I am really proud of the fact that among my students are people of different ages, knowledge of Russian and purposes of learning it and who are professionals in different fields for example in language and science teaching, sales and marketing, medical research, social work, to name just a few.

Always try to make students interested in the subject I teach. Create a ftiendly and an encouraging learning environment. Not afraid to praise them even if they do not get immediate good results. Tend to get feedback from them. Plan carefully each lesson. Use the Internet and PC in preparing for lessons. Each month organise Russian Converstaion Club for my students to help them learn some more about Russia apart from lessons. I have multiple years' experience in teaching Russian one-to-one classes both online and offline. My second passion lies with teaching ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). I have been working for a local sixth form college in the UK delivering English to foreign language speakers since 2009.
I hold a BA in Languages (English, French) and Linguistics obtained from the University of York and a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) which is a specialist teaching qualification that I gained with the University of Huddersfield.
I have also undertaken specialist training and obtained a certificate in teaching Russian as a foreign language from Moscow State University Russian Language Centre.

I have taught both privately and in a formal setting, including individuals and groups. I am currently teaching English to overseas students at a local college as well as delivering online and offline Russian classes to adults of varying cultural backgrounds.

My teaching approach focuses on both fluency and accuracy. I work on developing all 4 core skills of the target language: speaking, listening, reading and writing. My ESOL students have all achieved a 100% exam pass rate.

I am from Ukraine and because of the war had to leave my country with my wife, my daughter and my 3 year old grandson.
I am an active person interested in sports, particularly cycling. I love literature. My favourite writer is Haruki Murakami. I am fond of technology and computers.

I have been teaching English, including Advanced level and English for specific purposes, for 29 years. I have Cambridge Advanced and Proficiency in English certificates as well as CELTA (grade B). A lot of my students successfully passed Cambridge First Certificate in English, Cambridge Advanced English and IELTS. Russian is my native language and I have taught it to people from many different countries.

I have lived working in the UK since 2006. I have substantial experience working with children of primary ages and their families.
