I'm an author and a poet, I have had many poems published, won first prize in an international poetry competition (2011) and have also brought out two collections, which are on sale on Amazon. In 2015 I published my memoir A Hippopotamus at the Table. Set in South Africa in the 1970s. I'm about to publish my second memoir and published a book called Writing Memoir. I ran a British Council Comenius project where I worked with schools in Poland and Northern Spain. This involved visits, taking year 6 pupils to Warsaw and Oviedo.
Over the last 15 years, I have been working on a one-to-one scheme where I work with individuals or groups within the school setting in supporting and extending pupils' abilities. I have been successful in helping schools to attain above average scores in KS2 SATS and in building confidence for the future as well as supporting children with anger management needs.
Prior to that I worked in the Junior Department of Norwich High School for 17 years.

I am a friendly and approachable tutor with extensive experience in academia, both as a graduate teacher and a student (I'm currently a PhD Psychology student). Having completed my GCSEs, A-levels, a BSci in Psychology, an MSci in Psychological Research, and currently pursuing a PhD in Perceptual Psychology, I understand the challenges students face. I know what it is like to miss something or not quite grasp a concept as explained by a lecturer. Teaching Experience:
I bring over four years of teaching experience as a graduate teaching assistant, specialising in guiding first-year undergraduate students who are just beginning their journey in Psychology. During this time, I have gained extensive experience teaching a wide range of topics and modules within the Psychology degree program through interactive seminars and lectures. I am a Religious Studies and Politics tutor based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

In the 2017 A-Level series I scored first in Northern Ireland for Religious Studies and second in Northern Ireland for Government & Politics. I can teach you the same study and exam techniques that enabled me to score highly in the CCEA GCSE and A-Level exams.

I have a Bachelor of Theology degree from Queen's University Belfast and a Master of Theology degree from the University of Aberdeen.

Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring since September 2017. I have tutored a mix of school pupils, homeschoolers and adult learners.

Tutoring Approach:
I start by explaining the concepts and then focus on past paper questions and exam technique. The specification for both Religious Studies and Government & Politics has not changed since 2016 so there is a decade's worth of past papers to learn from!
