Hello! I'm a primary school teacher with four years of classroom experience at an Ofsted-rated 'Outstanding' school. Before qualifying as a teacher, I worked as a Teaching Assistant supporting children with a range of special educational needs, which gave me valuable experience in adapting learning to meet individual needs.

Throughout the lesson, I regularly check pupils' understanding, adapting my teaching and providing additional guidance whenever needed. Once a pupil has demonstrated a secure understanding, they are given opportunities to practise independently while receiving constructive feedback to consolidate their learning.

Building confidence is central to my approach. I believe children make the greatest progress when they experience success and recognise that it comes through effort, perseverance and positive learning behaviours. I use encouragement and meaningful praise to help pupils develop resilience and become increasingly independent learners.
