I graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc (Hons) in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2003 and a year later completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the same university. I work for the Cambridge International Exam Board, being an experienced marker of A Level chemistry. Personal Description:
Passionate, experienced educator and Chartered Mechanical Engineer with an MBA from London Business School and a strong background in STEM fields.

Before tutoring, I worked in the city for large blue chip financial services organisations within technology and data architecture. And before that I worked for tech companies including Microsoft and Uber, taking some time to organise an expedition to Antarctica on behalf of HRH Prince Wales, the Commonwealth and the BBC. I've learned how to build and lead world-class teams and really enjoy bringing a love of mentoring into tutoring key subjects.

Beyond my work, I enjoy climbing and writing music, and I'm driven by a desire to help others succeed, both in the classroom and beyond.

General Experience:

I have also coached and mentored professionals throughout my career, guiding them through complex projects and helping them to achieve personal and team goals. My experience working with young people stems from my time as a mountain guide, where I took groups of children on outdoor expeditions, teaching them about the environment and leadership.

I am an experienced Mathematics tutor and educational content developer with over nine years of teaching and tutoring experience, with additional experience teaching Physics. I have taught learners from primary and secondary school through university level, adapting my teaching to different ages, abilities and learning needs.

I hold an MSc in Actuarial Science from ISEG, Universidade de Lisboa, and a BSc in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the University of Lagos, giving me a strong foundation in Mathematics, Physics and quantitative problem-solving.

Personal Description:
I have always been someone that likes to help people, and this is the major motivator when it comes to teaching. The 1 to 1 dynamic of tutoring provides a great opportunity for real connection with the student, which then facilitates much better progress through mutual understanding and communication. I`ve found the more casual approach you get from teaching one student in their own home gives them so much more confidence and security than they have at school which makes it so much easier to understand their problems and work through things together.

Teaching Experience:
I have experience teaching Maths and Science in several schools in Derbyshire and south Yorkshire, and have been tutoring privately for the last two years. I attained a BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Nottingham and A*A*AA is Maths, Chemistry, Biology and Further Maths at A-level.

I have a broad range of experience tutoring in different settings and scenarios: online and in-person, KS3, GCSE and A-Level, Foundation and Higher Tiers, relaxed weekly or Bi-weekly sessions, intensive exam prep and even teaching in a home-school environment.

Tutoring Approach:
I opt for a more relaxed approach as I find student comfortability to be the most important factor for learning. Sessions are very interactive with the idea of helping the student understand where they are going wrong and what gaps they have. I am very analytical behind the scenes, building a bespoke portfolio that will inform the direction of future sessions.

I think students find the casual conversational learning to be a breath of fresh air. Many feel cramped and uncomfortable in a classroom so being able to just discuss things freely with no fear of judgement is a huge help. In my experience students always undersell themselves, so I make a point out of showing them how much they already know, which helps them feel more confident from the offset

I tutor Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology up to GCSE level, and I particularly enjoy making challenging topics easier to understand by breaking them down into clear, manageable steps. I currently work full-time at a PRU in Nottingham, alongside tutoring a number of private students. I am patient, reliable and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building their confidence and making progress.

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching and tutoring since 2008 and have extensive experience supporting students up to GCSE level in Maths and the sciences. I currently work full-time at a PRU in Nottingham, where I work with young people with a range of abilities, backgrounds and individual learning needs. I am a Biomedical Master's student with a First-class BSc. in Biochemistry. I studied Maths (A*), Biology (A*), and Chemistry (A) at A-level. I offer well-rounded Maths and Science tuition geared towards the UK syllabus at competitive rates, and have a passion for life sciences.

Teaching Experience:
I have over 7 years of experience working as a private tutor, and have taught Maths, Biology and Chemistry to students ranging from KS3 to A-level. I also teach Physics to GCSE level. I also have worked as a volunteer mentor in my secondary school, helping children learn how to study and do exam preparation, and have worked as a mentor for Zero Gravity, providing university entrance advice and feedback on personal statements.

Tutoring Approach:
I believe learning works best when it feels more like a conversation, which is why I use the Socratic method. It's centred on asking questions and encouraging curiosity, guiding a student step by step so they discover the ideas, patterns and solutions themselves. My lessons are structured but never rigid. I adapt to each student's needs, set clear goals, and create a supportive space where it's okay to make mistakes and learn from them.
