I have a dual background in Electrical Engineering and Psychology and retired in 2007 after 20 years as a University lecturer. If the pupil is poorly motivated and/or has acquired unhelpful learning habits then we may need to vary the approach in order to re-engage their interest and/or find a level at which they can perform successfully, and then build on this accomplishment.

Teaching Experience:
I have 5 years of experience tutoring in the UK, with over 4000 hrs taught. From my previous experience working in the University I have received extensive pedagogic preparation that helps me organise and plan my lessons to deliver tailored content to my tutees.

I have 10 years of experience as a University Professor and private tutor teaching all branches of General Physics and Maths. I have been in charge of multiple teaching activities, from lectures to practical lessons and experimental sessions. During this time, I also worked as a private tutor for secondary, A-level, and university students. I have also worked with secondary students preparing them to participate in National Physics competitions.

Tutoring Approach:
I try to keep my lessons flexible to accommodate the students' needs. Once I identify areas of concern, I adapt my lessons to polish these issues regardless of the topic we are addressing. I focus on good problem-solving practices that will translate into exam success. I excel at 1-to-1 tutoring because I can quickly connect with my students and build relationships that make them feel comfortable and at ease.
