While I was working in West Africa I engaged in teaching voluntarily (in my free time) English Maths and Science, to children of all ages. This made me interested in teaching. Soon I realised that this was what I wish to do after ending my career overseas. In 1998 I ended my career overseas and decided go in to teaching. My name is Beth, I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham. I have taught Physics at all school levels for 25 years. I have been the head of Science faculty in an East Renfrewshire school for over 10 years.
Additionally I work for Qualification Scotland, formerly SQA, and Education Scotland in assessment moderation, exam question writing, writing courses and the marking of candidate exam papers. This has been for Physics at all levels from National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher.
The knowledge I have gained from this allows me to empower students with the best strategies to maximise their marks in assessments.

I am a very experienced school Physics teacher and have been the faculty head of Science for over 10 years in an East Renfrewshire school. I was also previously the Head of the Physics department at another school near Glasgow.
