My observation is that if the student goal is to achieve an A grade it requires at least two hours of tutoring per week throughout the academic year, of course, some students ask for more. I have taught 11+ students on a regular basis. I have also conducted many intensive courses for 11+ Maths and English in July/August in order to help them gain momentum for the 11+ entrance exams.

I have helped several GCSE and students achieve their target grades and have enjoyed seeing them gain confidence with every lesson.

Tutoring Approach:
I believe in connecting with my students in a way that they gain confidence and clear insight in their subject. I follow a clear structure in my lessons in order to cover all relevant topics that they need help in, teaching them not just the theory but also the exam technique to help them achieve the highest marks possible. I share tricks and learning devices with them in order to make memorising/revising a more efficient experience. I set regular homework, including solving past papers.

I focus on helping my students achieve excellence in their subjects by helping them aim higher. I firmly believe that every student has the capability within to attain success. My goal is to help them in this process and make the journey as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.

I am a dedicated STEM educator and Trainee Secondary Science Teacher currently completing my PGCE at St Mary's University, London. Holding a UK ENIC-evaluated Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (RQF Level 6) and top-tier examination scores in Maths (198/200), Chemistry (193/200), and Physics (187/200), I am passionate about making STEM subjects accessible, engaging, and rewarding for every learner.

Teaching Experience:
I have extensive experience providing 1-to-1 and small-group tuition in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for secondary students. In addition to private tutoring, my current UK school placements through my PGCE involve delivering curriculum-aligned science lessons across Key Stages, conducting formative assessments, diagnosing learning misconceptions, and guiding students toward exam success.

My approach focuses on scaffolding complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. I use diagnostic questioning to identify knowledge gaps, model worked examples, and guide students through structured problem-solving. My aim is to help each student make progress while developing a positive attitude towards learning.

Teaching Experience:
I have a Master's degree in Medicine, Science and Society from King's College London and decades of experience tutoring students on an individual basis. This has given me extensive experience adapting lessons to different abilities, learning styles and needs, as well as helping students prepare for exams and develop their understanding and confidence.

My main focus is on building confidence, as I find that confidence not only improves understanding but also encourages students to practise and engage with their learning. I aim to make lessons interesting and relevant by connecting topics to real-world applications and, where possible, the student's own interests. I adapt my approach to each individual, creating a supportive environment where students can ask questions, learn from mistakes and enjoy making progress.
