In the cases for tutoring mechanics, my tutee found it difficult to identify and link various components of the forces together and to grasp the content clearly. Thus, I investigated the source of this lack of understanding then gave a clear explanation and support. Afterwards, I managed to explain various application questions using the struggling contents and interacting with my tutee (ie. asking what the next step would be) as I went through the questions to expand his understanding. I shared my method of working out the questions logically and giving clear guidance helped him greatly, hence, I was able to see improvement in his speed of understanding and solving of the questionnaires, showing a transition in his grades in Mathematics.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to teaching is student-centred, focusing on interactive problem-solving and real-world applications. Lessons, typically lasting 60 to 90 minutes, blend theoretical insights with practical exercises to make maths and physics both accessible and engaging. I encourage active participation, fostering a positive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and explore new ideas.

After each lesson, I provide students with clear, concise notes and step-by-step solutions to key problems covered in the session. Additionally, I assign targeted exercises to reinforce their understanding and support future revision. My ultimate goal is to simplify challenging concepts, help students build confidence, and inspire an appreciation for the beauty and logic of mathematics and physics.

Personal Description:
A chemistry graduate with experience as a Teacher, Examiner and Head of Department. Teaching online Science kS3, Combined or separate sciences GCSE, Chemistry GCSE, Chemistry A level. I love teaching as much as I love the subject, so I feel privileged to help students reach their full potential.
I also now offer group lessons where lessons are charged at £20 with a maximum of 4 students

Working as an e examiner has helped me to pass on those all important tips to students once they fully grasp the content
