I am a fully qualified Chemistry teacher with over 25 years experience of teaching and tutoring both GCSE and A-Level Chemistry. I am married with two teenage children.

Teaching Experience:
I am Head of Chemistry at a large 14-18 Leicestershire Upper School. I have taught at this school for 25 years. I teach GCSE and A-Level Chemistry. I have about 20 years tutoring experience with much success. As well as teaching AQA A-level and GCSE Chemistry, I have tutored OCR, Salters and EDEXCEL. Indeed, one of my private students achieved 100% in an A-level Chemistry module last year and this year another student achieved 100% in an AQA GCSE Chemistry module. My students consistently achieve over 90% in examinations.
I do tutor all abilities and all my students reach their potential and beyond.
I am Principal Examiner for IGCSE Chemistry for Cambridge International Examinations. I also set GCSE Chemistry Questions and check question papers before they are sat.
Recently, I have been tutoring students in preparation for the Chemistry component of the GAMSAT Examination - used as a route into medicine by some students.
I also use Skype, facetime and email for online tutoring. I am tutoring many students by Skype and FaceTime from all over the country. It is very successful and means that I can now offer tuition to students without any travelling involved or who live just too far away from me to travel. If you would like to try this as an option please get in touch with me. I can definitely recommend tutoring by Skype - try it if you live too far to travel. I offer first Skype lesson at 50% off or first 30 minutes for free so that you can try it.
I also tutor students from abroad using Skype or Botim.

Tutoring Approach:
I think the key to excellent examination results is confidence in being able to tackle the questions set. I, therefore, focus on passed papers alongside the teaching of the theory. I expect the students to ask about parts they do not understand and build on this whilst building up their understanding and knowledge.

I am British, Married with two children (Grown up) both are employed after their Master Degrees.

I was graduated from Newcastle University followed by various professional qualifications A Chartered Engineer with Fellowship. I served in the British Merchant Navy for many years. While I was working in West Africa I engaged in teaching voluntarily (in my free time) English Maths and Science, to children of all ages. This made me interested in teaching. Soon I realised that this was what I wish to do after ending my career overseas. In 1998 I ended my career overseas and decided go in to teaching. In 1999 I took up teaching as a full time private tutor which I continue up to date.
I am a registered Tutor of Fleet Tutors, which is one of the most reputed private teaching agencies in the Country and I was elected as the best Tutor of the Year. I am also a registered Tutor of Abacus Tutors In Berkshire and UK Tutors.

Teaching Experience:
Full time Private Tutor (mainly one to one but occasionally group) from 1999 up to date. I set very high standards and my students have always been achieving very high grades (A and A*) in all the subjects been taught

Tutoring Approach:
Initial assessment followed by structured and tailor made teaching programme to suit and meet individual needs. All lessons are kept in line with what is taught in the school and in line with the National Curriculum. Progress of the pupil is repeatedly tested by regular home work and monthly mini tests. Parents are kept well informed through out the course of studies.
Substantial amount of revision and past paper questions are done prior to the examinations. No of mock tests are carried out to ensure that the pupil is fully prepared to achieve highest grades in the Exam. Nearly all my pupils over the years have continued with me until they entered the University of 1st choice. All that I can say is that Ellie is fantastic. When she was teaching myself and my brother A Level Chemistry, she always gave short, concise explanations of concepts in a way that we easily understood. Also, she gave us past paper questions after each topic so that we had plenty of practice at exam technique. She marked these and sent us feedback on what to improve on. This meant that when it came around to do our exams, we were fully prepared for them and confident that we could do well. I'm a qualified science teacher and Head of Science based in London, who currently teaches in a secondary school to students aged 11-18. I teach all sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) to KS3 and GCSE (Edexcel and AQA specification), and teach A-Level Biology (OCR specification). I have worked within education for the past 10 years and really love working with young people to inspire them to achieve the best they can. Hello! My name is Gemma and I am a 32 year old doctor, chartered accountant, strategy consultant and successful start up founder. I graduated in medicine from Nottingham University in 2016, switched to finance, became a qualified chartered accountant, and now work for one of the 'Big4' in health advisory and strategic consulting.
