I am a retired A Level Physics and Mathematics teacher at a Tertiary College. We have about 50 students in each of years 12 and 13. 26 of our Physics students gained grade As at AS Level in 2006. 48% A and A* at A2 Level in June 2011. This is twice the Welsh average which puts us at the top of tree. 67% A*,A or B in 2012 in my class. I've found in the past that the best approach to tutoring is to be very positive and flexible. I am patient and supportive, and I encourage students to ask questions whenever something is unclear. My aim is to help students understand why a method works, rather than simply memorising steps. This helps them become more confident and independent in Mathematics.

My name is Gerda, and Sciences are a very big part of my life, however besides that I have also got many achievements in other areas. I am a finalist of the largest public speaking contest in the UK. Graduate of a training programme for young leaders and am now an aspiring Medical Student at Imperial Collage London.

Teaching Experience:
I've spent several years teaching children and am now expanding into Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics tutoring. With seven grade 9s at GCSE, including in these subjects, I understand exactly what's required to reach the top grades.

Tutoring Approach:
My teaching style focuses on breaking difficult topics into smaller, manageable steps, so students can build understanding gradually rather than feeling overwhelmed from large quantities of content being thrown at them at once.
