Being the oldest sibling of my family and the first to attend university, I started teaching from a young age. Through the years, the goal of educating young children has been the focus of my chosen work experiences, both in Health and Social Care (Level 3) at A Level to outside the classroom. From shadowing Early Years Practitioners to assisting Reception class teachers, I have made my rounds from school to school. The invaluable lessons learnt at these settings gave me the skills used to run an afterschool homework club at the local community centre. During my time volunteering at the local community centre, I aided in many after school and summer school activities. My reasoning for volunteering here is that I was once one of these children and this was the same community centre that widened my own horizons. However, this did not have my focus, instead, afterschool homework club did. As a nanny for two children in Key Stages' 1 and 2, I was fortunate enough to gain experiences of at home teaching of curriculum-based resources provided by the school during the lockdown. It was an invaluable insight into primary school curriculums and gave me the necessary experience needed into teaching, without leaving the house. I aimed to follow these schedules down to the break and lunch times to give the children a sense of normality and a readiness to learn during this unpredictable time.

Teaching is a rewarding job where children learn through fun and grow to become more inspired and confident learners. A plan will be made to help secure the knowledge they have and build up on the things they don't know. For exam candidates, lessons will focus on strengthening key skills and understanding how to approach exam style questions.

For students wishing to pass an entrance exam, I am able to support with Maths and Non - Verbal reasoning for either CEM or GL tests. Starting from September I will be offering weekly group sessions for GCSE and 11+. If you would like to join the classes, message me as places are limited.

I will look to strengthen your child's academic abilities and aspirations. I have had success with both low attainment students and high ability students achieving the grades that they are looking to achieve. Students enjoy my lessons due to my explanations and methods making Math easy to understand.
