Together, we develop a suitable teaching plan and identify appropriate teaching and learning resources. This teaching plan typically includes regular homework exercises for the student to study independently between tutoring sessions, reinforcing the knowledge and skills acquired during our time together. This approach makes the tutoring sessions much more effective, allowing us to focus specifically on the student's needs rather than spending time on concepts they can understand independently through textbooks or worked examples. My educational background includes undergraduate and PhD degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of Patras (Greece). I have worked as a postdoctoral researcher at prestigious universities such as Cambridge, Surrey, and Essex. I obtained my degree in physics and doctorate in theoretical physics from the University of Nottingham. I then spent ten years working as a physicist in various universities in Italy, New Zealand and the UK. My specialty was low temperature physics. I am fascinated by science and try to pass on my enthusiasm.

One of my responsibilities as a postdoctoral researcher was to mentor physics students. I am used to explaining difficult concepts and techniques in a clear, simple and concise way. I currently work in a 6th form college in Warrington where I teach and have taught a range of maths courses. This includes functional skills, engineering maths as well as the new specification GCSE and A level qualifications.

I am an experienced and now retired teacher who moved back to my home in Chichester a few years ago having spent the previous 11 years teaching in an IAPS school in Nairobi, Kenya. Before that I taught at Westbourne House Prep School for 9 years as a Year 2 class teacher. I received A*AA in my A-levels, with a 90 and 92 in maths paper 1 and 2. I also took 12 GCSEs, achieving eight 9s in total, including in Maths, triple sciences and English literature.

Teaching Experience:
I have tutored the 11+ for four years, and am familiar with all common exam boards (GL, CEM, CSSE). Last year, I tutored 3 students for the 11+ with weekly sessions starting from early June, and some more sessions towards the end.
