I also have eighteen years of experience working in clinical biochemistry laboratories within the NHS. Mathematics has always been a passion of mine because I love the problem-solving aspect of it and the useful applications it has to the real world. I am an applied mathematician (PhD), currently a teaching fellow at Imperial College London. Before this, I spent five years researching applied mathematics at University College London.

I have over five years of experience delivering private tuition to A-level students, two of which were on a voluntary basis for The Access Project.

Tutoring Approach:
Abstract mathematics can only become easy once we understand it. For this reason, my philosophy is to teach mathematical intuition first and technical ability second. Over the last ten years, I have taught students from various backgrounds and abilities, ranging from GCSE to MSc level, as a private tutor, lecturer and project supervisor.

I am an expert in simplifying abstract mathematical ideas to their simplest form, which is essential for many students to learn effectively. I am patient, empathetic, and genuinely care about students performing at their best. Everyone has blind spots in their understanding; we will get to the root of these together.

I advise that tutorial sessions last no longer than one hour-many students struggle to concentrate for longer than this.
