My first session is normally spent working out the best tutoring technique, how motivated the student is and what sort of ability they are. For example, in some cases I like to set small amounts of homework which actually help develop a deep understanding of the question, rather than bundles of questions that encourage method-learning repetition.

From here, each session can build on the previous and will depend a lot on the current progress of the student, upcoming examinations, strengths and weaknesses and how confident they are. In general though, I like to go through the content as fast or as slow as necessary, and then do some past paper or textbook questions with the student. I am an experienced teacher of Mathematics at key stages 2, 3, 4 and 5. I have taught in Bath and London for over 10 years and tutored hundreds of hours worth of lessons both face to face and online.

Teaching Experience:
I am a qualified teacher of Mathematics with wide experience teaching from years 5 to 13. I taught for five years at an all girls` secondary school in Bath before moving to an extremely high achieving boys`school close to my new home in Northwood.

I had spent the years prior teaching in mixed gender secondary schools in Bristol and Trowbridge as well as a middle school in Dorset.

I have seven years of experience helping young people achieve their goals in mathematics in a tutor capacity.

I have created a wealth of resources in recent years with the aim of diagnosing and curing misconceptions in topic specific areas within the curriculum for key stage 3, GCSE, IGCSE, FSMQ and A-level. These have proven invaluable in preparing students for their state examinations.

I have considerable experience in helping students who are on the SEND register and most recently I have worked as an Acting SENCO. This involved devising, delivering and monitoring the curriculum for students with moderate and severe learning difficulties as well as those with highly complex needs. I have recently attained the SENCO award qualification from Edge Hill University.
