Tutoring Approach:
I believe in tailoring the teaching approach to each student's needs and individual learning style. For school children and university students, I discuss their aims with them - and with their parents, if required - to determine what topics need additional tuition and then to work out the appropriate programme. I advocate continuous assessment to measure the student's progress. Closer to exams, the pupils will work through focused papers. At this stage, strategic choices may be made to concentrate on the pupil's strengths.
My core teaching is for A levels. I have discovered that certain topics in the new syllabus often require extra explanation and practice. These are:

Hello my name is Anne-Marie, I am from Ireland but have been living in the UK since 2004. This is now a place I call home. I realised I had a flare for imparting knowledge when I became a basketball trainer at 15, working with Primary and Secondary pupils. I like to lead by example so I took a City & Guilds Functional Skills Maths exam in April 2023 and passed. Now any prospective learners who choose me to help them, can feel confident that I have up to date knowledge to help them with their Maths exams.

WHERE WILL YOUR LESSONS TAKE PLACE?

Your lesson will take place at your nearest London public library so just include the post code in your message when you request a lesson and I'll travel to you.


WHEN CAN YOU HAVE YOUR LESSON?

You can have your lesson any time between 8am and 8pm Monday - Saturday. Please note: I do not work on Sundays.

Just remember: there is no such thing as a silly question and it's never too late to learn something new. Asking questions is how we all learn and progress. I asked a lot of silly questions and now I'm in a position to help other people so it works!
