My aim is to increase everyone's understanding of everything!!!

I've been tutoring Maths, Science and English since 2007, for ages 5 to 50. However, I mostly help teenagers with their SATs, GCSEs and A Levels.

Maths, Science and English are the three main subjects that people tend to want tutoring in. (Actually it's five subjects if you break the Science down into Biology, Chemistry and Physics.)

Anyway, as I tutor all of these subjects, my students find it very useful that I can potentially cover a different subject each week, or I can do two hours a week and cover a different subject in each hour.

This obviously makes it much easier for the parents too, because they don't have to find a separate tutor for each subject, or leave their child without the valuable one-to-one support in any of the core subjects.

I've also helped my students with pretty much every major school subject; from History and Religious Studies, to French and Spanish, and even Psychology and Health and Social Care. In fact, experience has shown me that I can help anyone to better understand anything - even something that I didn't even know myself a minute earlier!

I have been a teacher for many years having received my PGCE in 1992. Since that time I have worked in a variety of schools in the state and private sectors both in London and Oxfordshire. Teaching physics is a great privilege and pleasure having taught A Level physics for both OCR and Edexcel boards as well as GCSE and iGCSE physics and chemistry. I am currently in the process of creating an A-level OCR physics course for an Oxfordshire school which is both challenging and hugely rewarding as I know it will be used for the A-level students for years to come.

Head of Physics: Plan, create and teach a new programme of study for the new A level OCR physics course. Management of A -Level practical assessment and teach :A-level (OCR course)

Physics Teacher: A-Level physics (Edexcel), iGCSE physics teaching (Edexcel) . Organise and supervise rowing outings, ergo and running training for rowing crews.

Physics Teacher: Responsible for co-ordination of IT over the three science departments. A-Level physics, GCSE physics and GCSE chemistry teaching. Physics Teacher: During the Easter holidays I taught revision courses in A level physics and instructed candidates on good revision techniques. During the summer I worked for the administration department as a clerical officer as well as overseeing their ' social monitoring ' programme for the foreign language students.

Being the oldest sibling of my family and the first to attend university, I started teaching from a young age. I love working with students of all ages and abilities, and am intrigued by how I can use various learning styles: visual learning, auditory learning, read/write learning, and kinaesthetic learning to best impart knowledge. Every child learns differently, and I always strive to find the right method and approach to fit their needs. I care about my students and they are a very important part of my life. I am a 24 Year old with a degree in Early years education. I am currently doing my Qualified Teacher Training at a primary school and tutor children in Maths on the weekends. I have tutoring children for many years to help them excel in schools so that they can reach their full potential.

Teaching Experience:
Through the years, the goal of educating young children has been the focus of my chosen work experiences, both in Health and Social Care (Level 3) at A Level to outside the classroom. From shadowing Early Years Practitioners to assisting Reception class teachers, I have made my rounds from school to school. The invaluable lessons learnt at these settings gave me the skills used to run an afterschool homework club at the local community centre. This included maths and English classes taught to the children as an extension of the school curriculum to help them get a better footing in their classrooms. Combined with my bachelor's degree in Early Years Education, I've attained a well-rounded knowledge on childhood.
During my time volunteering at the local community centre, I aided in many after school and summer school activities. The aim; to widen the experiences and opportunities for the children of Somali refugees. This included sports-based activities in the summer holiday, football club, art club, dance as well as outside sourced leisure interests. My reasoning for volunteering here is that I was once one of these children and this was the same community centre that widened my own horizons. However, this did not have my focus, instead, afterschool homework club did. These experiences showed me that I am willing to go above and beyond for the children that need it both in and out of the classes.

As a nanny for two children in Key Stages' 1 and 2, I was fortunate enough to gain experiences of at home teaching of curriculum-based resources provided by the school during the lockdown. It was an invaluable insight into primary school curriculums and gave me the necessary experience needed into teaching, without leaving the house. I aimed to follow these schedules down to the break and lunch times to give the children a sense of normality and a readiness to learn during this unpredictable time.

Teaching is a rewarding job where children learn through fun and grow to become more inspired and confident learners. Its challenges include time management, differentiating learning styles and lack of funding to name a few. I found time management to be the most important of all, not only for the children but also to aid the teacher themselves, both in and out of the classroom.
