My name is Jamie. I'm a maths graduate from the University of Bath (MMath). I was a Maths Teacher and Key Stage 5 Coordinator at a well-known and very successful secondary school and sixth form in Bath.

I have been a Maths tutor on and off since I was in sixth form and have over 10 years' experience across a variety of ages and abilities (as well as 5 years' experience as a teacher). I'm fortunate that I discovered my passion for teaching and tutoring at a relatively young age, and I have already been able to guide many students at primary, secondary and sixth form level towards their goals.

I have now chosen to become a tutor full-time. It is incredibly rewarding to continue sharing my knowledge and insights with any students who wish to learn. If I can pass on just a little bit of my infectious enthusiasm for the subject at the same time, then all the better!

This would have started when I was in sixth form studying for my A-levels, then continuing on and off through my time at University and during my career as a teacher. I also have 5 years' experience as a teacher, and in my last year I was appointed Key Stage 5 Maths Coordinator for my school, giving me responsibility for all of our A-level students. During my teaching career, I was lucky enough to teach groups of all levels - from lower Year 7 right the way up to Year 13 Further Maths A-level.

My experience, both tutoring and teaching, has been invaluable in helping shape the tutor I strive to be going forwards.

I've been tutoring Maths, Science and English since 2007, for ages 5 to 50. However, I mostly help teenagers with their SATs, GCSEs and A Levels.

Maths, Science and English are the three main subjects that people tend to want tutoring in. (Actually it's five subjects if you break the Science down into Biology, Chemistry and Physics.)

I have been a teacher for many years having received my PGCE in 1992. Since that time I have worked in a variety of schools in the state and private sectors both in London and Oxfordshire. Teaching physics is a great privilege and pleasure having taught A Level physics for both OCR and Edexcel boards as well as GCSE and iGCSE physics and chemistry. My name is Beth, I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham. In terms of teaching children, I've just returned from my second year working at a youth summer camp in Canada. Here I was required to teach the kids wilderness survival skills, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, arts and crafts, and plenty more! My personal approach to tutoring is a mixture of interactive learning and individual work, making sure to cover all of the required content and keeping a large focus on past exam papers. Depending on what's needed, I like to focus on weaker areas before providing a more general overview, then fine tuning everything closer to the exam period.
