I'm a doctor currently working as a GP Registrar, having completed a Graduate Entry Medicine degree at the University of Southampton. Before starting my studies in Medicine, I completed my BSc. (Hons) Human Physiology at the University of Portsmouth in 2015. My tuition sessions are bespoke and are structured around the needs of the student. Throughout my teaching I place an emphasis on understanding why particular methods are used and how topics link together. I also ensure students are exposed to a wide variety of questions styles from across exam boards to develop their ability to apply these skills to unfamiliar styles of question. Above all, I aim to raise the confidence and expectations of my students and to see them enjoy learning.

During the first introductory session I will make an assessment of your ability and discuss what you wish to achieve e.g. a certain grade/better understanding of a particular area, or develop exam technique. I will then use this information to create an individual learning plan and tailor my tuition accordingly as we work together to help you achieve your goal.

Zoom (online, highly recommended) sessions. All online sessions flat fee £30 per session for KS1 , KS2 and KS3 and £35 for A levels (sessions are nominally 50 minutes but usually lasts longer). I do a limited amount of free sessions for students with severe disabilities or families with very low income. I'm perfectly set up for remote sessions with two cameras, two screens and large bandwidth Internet connection. Screen interaction with students makes the session so much more effective and interactive and it's of course a face to face meeting. Tutoring Approach:
I would like my students to understand the logic behind mathematical applications and not just memorise the mechanics of solving exercises. I aim to make Mathematics something interesting, intriguing, useful, challenging and fun. I aim to enable the students to develop a useful tool for them to use throughout their life. My lessons are planned and structured based on the National Curriculum and the respective key stage requirements.
I keep a weekly progress sheet for each student using a rating score to monitor progress and proficiency.

I hold a Master of Physics degree from the University of Oxford and currently work as a finance consultant across New York and London, where I apply advanced mathematical and analytical skills in a professional, real-world environment.
