I am a graduate in Physics with Astrophysics, which was a four year degree, which included me living and learning in Italy. My degree was challenging yet enjoyable, and contained a lot of Maths, which to me was great! As a born communicator writing and teaching have always appealed, and having spent the last decade tutoring and working for the Institute of Physics, I can definitely say I enjoy it as much now as I did when I started.. Hello! I am 47 years old, originally from Denmark and moved to the UK 20 years ago for my degree. Before teaching, I worked as a monkey veterinary technician in the US, conducted my Masters research on crop-raiding macaques in Indonesia, and helped to run a volunteer expedition in the Amazon. After a couple of years of teaching in secondary school as a Science and Spanish teacher, I heard the call of the wild again and travelled for a year through Mexico and Central America. I now feel very settled here in England and am raising two beautiful daughters, as well as a menagerie of animals, including chickens, guinea pigs, and a dog.

I am an undergraduate student studying Actuarial Science in one of the top Universities for Actuarial Science in Europe, Bayes Business School. I have tutored many GCSE and Alevel students in a tutoring centre and private classes, of which most of them got A to A*. I did A level Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Tamil and received 2A* and 2A. I also completed AS Level Further maths in which I obtained an A.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught many students, ranging from year 5 to A level, in a tutoring centre.. I am also currently teaching A level and GCSE students privately. Many of my students have obtained grades As and A*s in their A levels and 7-9 in their GCSEs. I've been involved in tutoring for more than 2 years and I will use the best teaching strategy that is suitable for the student.

Tutoring Approach:
I ensure that every student understands the subject or topic by the end of the lesson. I will make sure that my GCSE and A level students feel confident and comfortable when facing their actual exams, as I tend to do a lot of past paper questions for the students to grasp the technique. If necessary, I will give out discounted tuitions to go through the past paper questions near their exam. As a student of mathematics for over 25 years (and counting!), I have dedicated the past five years to making mathematics accessible to secondary students around the world.

After graduating from the University of Birmingham with a 1st Class BSc Hons in Economics, I worked as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant at professional services firm, PwC.

In search of a more fulfilling profession, I made the move into teaching through the Teach First programme in 2018 as a secondary mathematics teacher. Since then, I have taught as a qualified classroom teacher in the UK and as a Head of Department (Mathematics, Science, and Design) in China helping students from the age of 10 to 19 achieve their academic and personal goals.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught Maths as a qualified teacher in UK secondary schools. I then went on to teach Maths, Economics, and Business Management at an international school in China, where I was also Subject Group Leader for Maths, Science, and Design.

Tutoring Approach:
As a tutor, I will:
