My approach to proof-editing / English checking is to look primarily at the language. After completing my university studies in Philosophy, I obtained a Master's Degree in Teaching Italian to Foreigners at the University of Rome Tor Vergata and then I moved to Coventry in order to start a Master by Research on Renaissance Studies at Warwick University. Since I was a young student, I have been extremely passionate about Italian History, Philology, Culture and Traditions. I'm currently working at Parliamentary Groups of Sicilian Parliament (ARS) where, since 1993, I've been performing a proofreader role of legislative texts.
Considering the nature of my job, I have always had a keen interest in the Italian language, focusing on the linguistic structures in order to perform high skill levels in spoken and written Italian.

I am a professional singer, a music and singing teacher. I have conducted masterclasses and I won several singing competitions in Italy.
I have phoniatric experience which enables me to recognise voice issues and to keep my voice and my students' voices healthy. This phoniatric experience enabled me to gain a deep knowledge of voice anatomy and physiology, to ensure a healthy voice emission and to work on voice education.

Teaching Experience:
I worked as a music and singing teacher for several music academies, middle schools and high schools to A level exam syllabus. The main subjects I held: general music, modern and opera singing, Body awareness, history of music, chamber music, solfeggio and rhythm.
I am now working as a musical director for a theatre company.
