Tutoring Approach:
Although I learned all my foreign languages through a rigorous method very much based on writing and grammar, I am happy to adapt my method to my pupil's needs. Personally, I believe that conversation is the key to becoming fluent in a language, but at the same time I do not neglect the importance of writing and reading comprehension. Prior to becoming a qualified teacher my professional experience includes IT, social work, property maintenance, music, photography and education & employment while my studies at undergraduate included nine subjects. I am a proficient and fully-qualified German teacher, with experience of teaching at all levels, from beginners to highly advanced learners. Over many years, I have taught German to a diverse range of students, and in many different environments, from large classes to individual tutoring. I have an MA in German linguistics and more recently I have completed post-graduate studies in the theory of teaching foreign languages.

My lessons are dynamic, well-resourced and well-prepared in which an attitude of 'let's try' and 'can do' is encouraged and nurtured. Obstacles, challenges and difficulties are considered as opportunities to grow and extend skills and are thus turned into positive experiences.

Art is my calling and my biggest passion. I paint artworks in Art Deco style using oils and acrylics. I'm proficient in many Fine-Art techniques and have deep knowledge of art history.I have experience teaching Fine-Art in the schools where I have worked primarily with GCSE and A-Level students.
