Tutoring Approach:
For some students, gaining confidence with many of the concepts and ideas presented in geography at Key Stage 4 or 5 is difficult - especially considering the pressures of coursework, ongoing assessment and the natural workload provided by other subjects. Yet these concepts underpin much of the reality that geography deals with.
My approach to tutoring is to enthuse the often overwhelmed student first and foremost with 'real', accessible geography. By using interactive ICT-based resources and practical assessment tools such as course guides, question mark schemes and exemplar work, the student can access previously hard-to-grasp material, and gain a critical understanding of the assessment process.

I am 34 year old female, looking to support learners with their education. Teaching has always been my passion since I was a little girl, and this has continued to grow as I have gotten older. I was diagnosed as dyslexia went I joined university, and this has yet to stop me from being successful. I am currently a Geography Director which involves working with Year 11 and Year 13 across multiple schools within the Academy Trust that I work for to ensure that students are fully prepared for their examinations. I use all of my teaching excellence in my tuition sessions as well as a wide range of resources.

I have also been an examiner and a senior examiner for the last 15 years for AQA and OCR so I am very familiar with the specification, NEA and exam requirements.

Tutoring Approach:
Sessions typically are one hour in length using a device to meet on as well as another device to work on. Expect the sessions to be interactive and complete work throughout the session and then have further work to complete as part of your revision schedule, you are accountable for your own learning so you can get as much out of the sessions as you want.

I always ensure that an initial phone call takes place as a meet and greet so that you can ask any questions that you may want clarification on.
